Now I am sure this has been brought up before, hopefully not too much, but I need help with this. Since I started taking creatine (last week) everytime during my workout, about mid-way through, I start feeling sick.

It isn't too much to not continue my workout, but it is VERY annoying. I start feeling nausiated and I feel my intensity may be dropping rather than rising. Is an upset stomach something that is common when you first start digesting creatine? Is it something that will go away once my body starts getting use to it? I really do not want to give up on this supplement, but if I feel like this everytime, I will have to. Any input = :tu: !

Thanks!
Carl

I think your dose is too high.
Only take 1 level teaspoon per day, you dont really benefit from much more.
If it still upsets you may want to take 1/2 tsp a couple times per day.
Mixed with OJ or cordial works well.

Be sure you're taking no more than five grams pre-workout. That's about my maximum tolerance for creatine in one dosage, and sometimes it still gives me a little stomach upset in the morning.

I had similar experiences while loading creatine. I did 20g/day for the first 5 days, spread throughout the days in 5g doses. I can tell you that during those 5 days my gas was worse than anything I could have imagined, but I beared with it. After the loading stage, I have never experienced any of those symtoms anymore. I personally think the loading stage worked for me, because after loading, I noticed my arms got bigger. Also my strength increased in the gym.

I agree. It also works well in a Post WO shake rather than Pre WO.
