alright so I REALLY want to bulk up absolutley as much as possible before summer.. wich is when I'm going to start cutting and lose all the fat.

I'm 15 145 pounds 5"6.

Curl a 3x8 of about 55lbs
bench a 3x8 of 100lbs max 125lbs

I eat a good amount of protein but I'm looking into getting a protein powder. am I even at the age where I can buy it on my own? and what would be the best for me to use after a solid workout and when should i drink the shake. I was looking at buying a 2lb bottle of 100% whey protein strawberry. is this good?

Last I checked - buying protein powder wasn't age regulated anywhere in the world - you should be ok.

As for the rest of your questions - do some searching on PWO shakes here and you'll find hundreds of opinions. The powder is more of a convience tool that anything - real food can accomplish the same stuff. Work it into your overall daily intake.

Get a solid diet down, and yes you can purchase your own protein powder, I used to at GNC but its way too expensive their so I order from advantagesupplements on ebay, 5lbs ON for $21 instead of $50 or so. Try to keep a log of what you eat so you can see how much you are eating and exactly what you are eating, a quick bulk wont make you huge and summer is around the bend. I personally could care less what I look like during the summer, winter cutting, summer cutting doesnt matter, I lift because I enjoy doing it, especially when I have an excuse to eat 2 bowls of oatmeal back to back :tu:.

Also you should set goals, it takes me alot to get satisfied so id just keep going and going, so my first goal is to gain 20lbs of muslce in 6-8 months. Once I get their I plan on doing maybe about 10-15lbs of muscle before I officially start cutting...then start over again.

BTW my first bulking session was a waste seeing I did not eat enough so you have to be aware how much you eat and when you eat..you have to eat alot, and I was not doing that. You should also be getting your calories from healthy, non junk food and processed crap. I'm not sure wether this is your first time or not but it seems it.

also curling 55 pounds..as in a dumbell? because that is alot of weight to curl especially just starting.

I went on a rant and I hope you find some of this useful.

Make sure you get a sample of strawberry if that is what you want to order. I have yet to taste an artificially flavored strawberry supplement that was good. Of course, this is my opinion, but I am just warning you.

Bulking is fun right? You get to eat alot, and as a bonus, you can lift heavier weights. :D
Sorry if this sounds out of the topic, but just being curious here, how many calories are you planning to consume and it's macro breakdown, if you don't mind sharing...
