hello all. Just wondering if it's worth it to work out at night?

finding time to workout is very hard these days. I get up at 5:30, shower, get one of the kids ready to for daycare and i'm out the door at 6:15. I get home at 5. one of the kids doesn't go to bed until 8. the other kid (7 weeks old) is usually up until 10. the only real time i have to work out is at 9pm. Is it possible to workout from 9-10 then go to bed at 10:30?

I have my diet pretty much situated, but my sleep is interupted at least once a night to help with the baby. At the moment, I would be lucky to get 7 hours of sleep...

any help would be helpfull :d_frown:

Is there anyway to squeeze in a workout during the day - on your lunch break or something? Some people do just fine working out before bed. For me, it wires me and I can't sleep, :spaz: or if I do manage to sleep I have very frightening dreams and I feel very unrested in general.

I generally, when my kids were that age - went to bed as soon as I could, and got up ealier so I could workout while they were sleeping. (we're talking 4 AM  )

I feel your pain with the sleep deprivation. Take care of yourself!

Workouts wake me up. I don't know how it affects you. Maybe the spouse might let you take a 30 minute workout earlier in the evening. Negotiate. Any time is better than no time.

I'm an evening workout person myself. For some reason, I feel best working out in the evenings. Tonight I worked out at 9pm, but usually I work out between 5pm-7pm after getting home from work.

I think rtestes has said it before, the best time to do it is whenever you can or will do it!

Nice avatar, BTW. Where'd you get a pic of my boss?? :D
