View Full Version : BMR & TDEE fool proof?

I just used the Harris Benedict Formula to figure my calories (even though I use Diet Power to tell me how many per day)
My BMR is 1564.78 and my TDEE (maintenance) is 2425.41. SO, if I'm understanding this properly, if I deduct 500 calories from my TDEE, I should lose weight....so 1925.41 per day would be my caloric aim. (Diet Power always has me around 1500) This is my caloric trail since
March 1: 1591, 2363, 2095,1893,2149,1167,1242,1589,1220,1889,1897,1823, 1952,1361,1142

Does anyone have some advice for me? Do I have too many high days? I'm close to 4 high, 4 low, maybe I should do more low and only 1 high at a time?

I weight train every other day and do cardio 6 days per week-45 minutes high intensity (am getting more consistent, haven't been in teh past)

Anyone have any tips for me? I'm reading in every second of my "free" time. Thank you in advance!

Just in case, I'm female, 33, 5'5", weigh 175 and according to my Tanita scale, around 35%, which I think is accurate. Last time I saw my trainer, it was 35%. :o

With my calulator, I get 1566 for your BMR, I gave you a liberal 1.725 activity level for 2701 maintainance calories. Now take off 500 -1000, you have 1701-2201 calories a day. I don't know first thing about Dietpower. Everything is an estimate, we are humans, we vary. Results will show on scales, %BF, and in mirror, that is bottom line. If you are getting right results you are on the right path.

No, they aren't fool proof, nothing is.
