I was wondering...if an intense cardio session during the day means that for the rest of that day your RMR is elevated, does this apply if cardio is done late, nearer to bed? Or does doing it late have less of an effect, as your metabolisms slows to the same rate while your sleeping regardless of when you do your cardio?

That's the theory, yes. But if you must do it later in the day, that's better than not at all.

Well, as much as I would like to get up early and fasted AM cardio I am simply not a morning person. I did AM cardio MAYBE 5 times this year, the other times I did it mostly at night or once in a while (maybe 5 times) in the afternoon. I lost about 60 lbs in the last year, so it has worked for me. Bigger than cardio though, get your diet right. Good luck man. :jumping:
