View Full Version : Stretch marks around abs good?
Medi Sat, March 12th, 2005, 11:55 AM Is this a sign that my abs will be coming out soon? What i mean is, saying youre looking at a sixpack and looks like this
1 2
3 4
5 6
Then the stretch marks are like this
1 2
3 4
5 6
Underline=stretch mark, ill try to get real pics later but this is the best i can do for now :)
rtestes Sat, March 12th, 2005, 01:30 PM I would never call a stretch mark as good. But I will note that Hollywood has been known to outline abs with makeup, lazer, even shaving hair in a pattern. So who knows what it will do for you. :D
rubberbandman Sat, March 12th, 2005, 02:27 PM maybe that could be a new trend rtestes....tattooed on abs like the way people tattoo on eyebrows and lips and stuff. Hah! imagine how tattooed or painted on abs would look on a beer gut.

Basically, im around 11-12% bf and im wondering if this might be my six pack starting to come through
xyz101 Sat, March 12th, 2005, 06:28 PM It certainly means that you've lost (or gained) some weight. AS long as you keep lowering your body fat (might need to go under 10%) the abs will start showing..Just work'em out once or twice a week to speed up the process.I'm just curious , how tall are you and how much did you weigh when you started working out and how much do you weigh now?

Hate to hear someone 14, lost 40 lbs seeking ABs. You were at about the proper weight for height. What was your exercise program? What was diet plan in terms of calories and macros? How long did it take?

I didnt lose 40 lbs seeking abs, i lost 40 lbs because i was overweight and inactive. Took me about 1 year, 3 months. Eat about 2600 calories a day, 40/40/20 split. Putting on weight again but muscle this time.

I am glad it wasn't for abs. It is possible to have fat at 176lbs and 5'11" but you needed a good weight program or even Body weight exercises. You needed muscles. Now that you are at 136 lbs, do you have muscles? 165-175 would be nice weight at your height.
What are you doing for exercise?

Sounds good, keep pumping the iron. Strength is good. Put on a little more size. :gl:
tdunne Mon, March 14th, 2005, 04:59 AM Heh - 5'11" at age 14? You guys are gonna be pretty tall! I was 5'2" at that age, and topped out around 5'9". Even at my height, 135lbs would be a bit too thin ;)
