I was just wondering, buying salads at fast food resturaunts (IE - Mcdonalds, Wendys)..do they have any additives in the salad that add fat/calories? I get salads at those places when my friends eat there and im hungry. For example, I got at Wendy's the "Spring mix salad" and the only thing I noticed that might not be good for you is the cheese in it. I usually toss the dressing they give me and use something at home to put on it thats lite. Besides that, is there any differences in fast food "healthy" foods and buying them in the store???

You can look online for the nutritional content of fast food restaurants' items.

For example, you ate a "Spring Mix Salad" from Wendy's (http://www.wendys.com/food/BAMMain.jsp). That is...

570 calories
25g carb.
17g protein
47g fat
14g sat. fat
1150 mg sodium
they have other numbers, too.

Just do a google search for most fast foods and the content comes right up and you can customize all the foods -- very helpful.

180 calories at their site (http://www.wendys.com/food/index.jsp) without dressing or honey roasted pecans. No, they don't add anything. But you always need to get a good count.
