hi yall
so i'm wondering if you are trying to eat say 30 grams of carbs in one meal, is 30g of fruit equivilant to having 30g worth of bread or some starchy or fiberous carb? i realize that fruit is a simple carb. i like fruit, and i have it approximately 2 times a day. sometimes i mix it with almonds, as a snack in between meals, or with yogart/cottage cheese.

thanks

It sounds like you're trying to ask if fruit is alright. Even though it's a simple carb, the carbs in fruit come from fructose which is harder to digest than regular glucose and doesn't have the same effect that a simple carb like table sugar would. Fruit is awesome, I have an apple and banana every day!

First of all, fruit is good, awesome and nutritious. So eat it :tu:
Now, if you're wondering whether to have 30 g of carb from fruit or from other source of carb (bread, rice etc) than I think it depends on your need. First, fruit can be digested easily compared to rice, so if you want to fill full for longer, than I suggest rice. But if you're comparing fruit to bread, I think both are digested at the same pace, so the decision is still up to you... :tucool:
