Sometime late Jan. I started eating cleaner/counting calories, and was weight-lighting 3 times a week. I know my form for weightlifting was horrible, and I wassn't eating the best food, but I was very slowly making improvement, that motivated me to do better every week. That was easy with only one 2 hour class a day. Now working full time, I can't figure out how people do it.

I've been working fulltime for 2 weeks, and I feel like anything I gained last month has just been lost, and I lost most of the endurance I had gained. With working 8 hours a day I'm scared to do cardio in the morning, and end up sore and almost unable to move halfway into my workday. (I'm a gas attendent, on my feet the entire 8 hours pretty much.) And working 5-6 days a week is not helping with finding room for weight-training. The light at the end of my tunnel is that I should only be doing full-time for the rest of the month, then I'll be only working 3 days a week, but I can lose alot of weight by then, and I want it off.

I want to start losing weight now, but have no idea how to go about this. I work 11-7 half of the week, and 1-9 the other half. What kind of meals can I make that are easy to make when I'm stressed and tired at the end of the day, that will last me those hours at work. I also want to know if there is good, dry food, I can buy so I can just grab some and go. And how can I do cardio "right" so it won't interfere with my day, and maximize weightloss? (Also, hopfully, mid-April I can join a gym, when I'm working only 3 days a week, but thats far from what I need to fix now.)

I want to lose this weight badly, my plan right now is cardio every morning, and diet. I'm 5'11, 250ish (Gotta buy a scale next payday!), with a 42 inch waist. I took pictures of myself to post, but I felt so disgusted with myself, ( I'd believe it if my disgusting self was why my ex-left me and if it was none of the other reasons we discussed  ) that I don't even want to see them again until I can start comparing to the new self I'll get.

Also, if anyone would beable to help me personally via e-mail, or some IM program so I can maybe get some simple help here and there without needing to clog these boards with posts, that would be extra-awesome, otherwise I have no problem with posting here until 165lb!

I won't let work get in my way :bb:

Are you lifting weights? If not, do everything you can to include them in your routine. They are of uttermost importance for fat loss.

Depending on how much activity you were previously getting (first time working?) you'd be amazed how much extra you're burning just being on your feet for an extra 8 hours. I went from 220 down to 170 (i'm 5'7") since starting my job working overnight at a walmart-esque store in november, and really that isn't much more than standing there either. You're getting paid to do inefficient cardio, so no need to add more! It takes more than two weeks to really notice if you're losing anything, but i'd expect it. You should definetly start weight training on your days off at the very least.. plenty of info on what to do already on these forums. And yes you'll be sore, but its the sweet soreness of progress :bb:. Good luck!

if you want it bad enough you'll find a way to fit it in... I work 40 hour weeks, I'm lucky that my area manager is very cool and offers to let us work alternate work weeks, so instead of 5 - 8 hour day's, I work 4 - 9 hour day's and 1 - 4 hour day (Friday), I get up at 5 am to get to the gym for my cardio, I shower and change at the gym and get to work at 7 am and work until 5 p.m. then head back to the gym for my weights, I get home in time to take a shower, fix my food and set up my clothes for the next day, and then eat my last meal while relaxing for half an hour before going to bed... this is my life, I chose to live like this because I feel better and look better when I'm in great shape and I am determined to get back to that... and I agree with Cziffra and saladami, you need to be lifting, it will help more than you can imagine ;) good luck :tu:

You work eight hours a day, sleep eight hours a day... that leaves you eight hours a day for everything else. All you need is 30-60 minutes of that each day for whatever workout you want. You can workout on your days off and take off a couple of days when you work if it makes it easier.

It really is that simple once you clear your mind of any excuses and fears, suck it up and dive in. Be patient and get started.

I'm not trying to make myself seem any better then anyone here far from it. I just want to give an example of what you can do with very little time. I work 18 hours a day and get about 4-5 hours sleep. I have to wake up at 0500 because i'm incharge of the fepp program for the people who didn't pass the navy prt. During this I do my HIIT cardio. In addition I have a bunch of food I can carry with me because I am on a ship and don't have time to cook and can't eat what they cook (fried food yum :( ).

At night I do a quick 45 min Max-Ot lift and then have a myoplex and go to sleep.

I eat
Post cardio- Mypoplex 0600
Snack 1- Oatmeal/Apple 0830
Meal 1- Tuna/ Veggies 1100
Snack 2- Mypolex. 1330
Meal 2- Tuna/Veggies 1600
Post Workout Myoplex. 1830

Anything like myoplex will work, I just like it because I get a good deal on it and I like the way it tastes.

All in all I burn 300-400 calories on HIIT. Who knows how much lifting. And I consume around 1500 calories.

Hope this helps demonstrate how to fit things into a busy schedule
