View Full Version : Round 3... BEGIN!!!!!
ErikTheRed March 6th, 2005, 01:45 AM Ok... I have a problem.... I have been trying and trying and trying to get back on track. July 2004, I weighed 215 pounds and was somwhere above 28 percent bodyfat. I worked hard all day every day. I kept logs, I took measurements.
January 1st, 2005 I was 165 pounds and 13 percent body fat... and then I let go.
March 1st, 2005... I am 182 pounds and ~20 percent body fat. The problem is that I have been trying and trying but just CAN'T get back into it. I am resorting to keeping this journal to make my best attempt. My primary goal will be fat reduction. And this is how I will do it.
I will approximate my calories and try to not eat more than 75 g's of carbs a day. This starts MARCH 6, 2005.
Week 1: March 6-13
Every day- 50 minutes of elliptical over 175
Every other day- Abs (5 sets of 25 upper and lower)
I will try to include a weight regiment the following week (to work up to getting back in) I will update with my measurements.
gravityhomer March 6th, 2005, 11:01 AM Good luck with your new start! :tu: I'm hoping to see some progress here big red.
ErikTheRed March 6th, 2005, 06:14 PM Thanks for the kind words..
Half way through day one and it is tough already.. I keep telling myself.... "oh, i'll just have 1 brownie,.. or I'll just get an icecream, chips,..." BUT I haven't had anything off the schedule yet. This is the schedule btw.
Meal 1a- Protein Shake
Meal 2- 3/4 cups egg whites
Meal 3- 2 cups of vegatables, 8 oz turkey meatballs
Meal 4- Met-rx, meal replacement
Meal 5- 2 cups of vagatables, 8 oz turkey meatballs
Meal 1b- Protein Shake
I'm about to go to the gym and try to make it through 50 minutes.. yesterday I went and stopped at around 38. Wish me luck and hopefully I'll post tomorrow.

I'm guessing that you hate cooking. Or maybe you just don't have time. If you want to mix things up a bit, how about a chicken breast instead of the turkey meatballs. Put 8 oz in boiling water for 17 minutes. It's so easy and you can't burn it. Just defrost in microwave, boil water, drop it in and walk away for the whole time.
just a suggestion.
ErikTheRed March 7th, 2005, 12:11 AM Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunatley, I only ate chicken breasts for like 2 months and have just grown sick of them. That was just my recipe for the day.... I have never boiled chicken though so I'm going to try tomorrow.
Today however, I failed miserably. I ate well and when it was coming down to the last meal, I gave in an ordered two gyros and had 2 glasses of coke. GRRR.... AND
at the gym my heart was feeling weird so i only did 30 minutes which burned 315 calories.
Tomorrow, i'll try again....  :spaz:
ErikTheRed March 8th, 2005, 01:30 PM Ok.. another wasted day only to try again.

Oatmeal and protein for breakfast and I'll do some shopping later.
