View Full Version : Here we go - Geed's first photo update
Geed Sat, February 21st, 2004, 12:14 AM Here are the pictures from my 2nd month update. Wow! Now I can see a difference. I felt my pants getting looser and looser and sure enough now I see why. I have re-organized my workout somewhat. Instead of trying to cut and build muscle at the same time I have decided to concentrate on the cutting part until I hit my goal BF% (12 to 10 percent) and then dive 100% into muscle building phase. I am still doing some weight training but only twice a week centering on my arms, shoulders, chest, and abs. I am still doing 3 days of cardio a week and sticking to my diet. By the way things are going I am hoping to hit the end of my cutting phase within a month to a month and a half from now. To make things less stressful on myself I have decided to not set any deadlines. I figure what I am doing is a life long change. As long as I put in the effort then the benefits will come.
The dates of the pictures are 01/22, 02/20, and 03/19 (left to right)...

(instead of adding to the end of this thread I've decided I will edit it so that my latest update pictures will be here in this first post)
marcus Sat, February 21st, 2004, 12:27 AM I can definitley see a difference. Losing 12lbs in one month is pretty good going. Usually that is too much to lose in a month but some of that would have been water so youve lost about the right amount. Dont feel discouraged, your well on your way to your goals.
Keep it up :tu:

Zef82 Sat, February 21st, 2004, 01:31 AM Well, I can see a big difference in the gut from the two pictures. The face too.
Duckman Sat, February 21st, 2004, 05:58 AM There's definitely a big diff. Just keep up the good work and stay focused!
fluke Sat, February 21st, 2004, 06:27 AM Not everyone can do this as fast as John. You have made significant progress, and as you go, the changes will be more and more profound. Stick to it and you'll be a new man soon enough!
:gl:
btw, in the first profile shot, theres a percariously placed towel/shirt in the hamper.
Lisa Stone Sat, February 21st, 2004, 07:10 AM 12 pounds is a lot for one month! You are doing great, and I can see a big difference in your photos. Keep up the good work :tucool:
Geed Sat, February 21st, 2004, 09:20 AM Thank you for the encouraging words everyone! The places on my body where I personally see a difference is in my face and my upper legs. I realize that its only been a month, not even a full month at that, so I know I have to give it some time. Heck... it took years for my body to get this way so I know changing will take a little time and effort.
I will continue eating clean and sticking to my exercise schedule and I will post another update picture around March 20th.
John Stone Sat, February 21st, 2004, 09:42 AM Geed,
You are making great progress, don't worry if it doesn't mimic mine - we all lose fat differently. Your genetics determine where you store fat and where you lose it. I can see a big difference in your face and legs, and even your mid section has noticeably improved in the profile shot. There's certainly no reason for you to be discouraged in the least! It's only been one month and you are doing a fantastic job. Once your body starts burning the fat in your mid-section, you'll be surprised how fast it will go. It may be the last thing that goes, but that's very common with most men.
Keep up the hard work, you're doing great! :tu:

Big BUMP to that. I say this to people all the time.
It just shows how much logic goes out the window when people starve themselves and try and undo years of unhealthy eating and fat gain in a matter off weeks. :p

neckowi Sat, February 21st, 2004, 07:02 PM I'd have to agree with everyone else. I see improvement all over, but especially your face. It's harder for us to see improvement in ourselves, because we keep thinking about where we want to end up. You're doing great. :tucool:
btw, in the first profile shot, theres a percariously placed towel/shirt in the hamper.
I missed that the first time through... funny stuff.
Geed Sat, March 20th, 2004, 12:58 AM 2nd month update. Photos updated in my first post!

karatetricker Sat, March 20th, 2004, 01:00 AM Wow, HUGE difference between the 1st two pics and 2nd two. I mean, you had some nice progress in month 1, but you look like you lost a LOT of weight in that last pic!
guava Sat, March 20th, 2004, 04:06 AM To make things less stressful on myself I have decided to not set any deadlines.
I have the same philosophy. Well, even looser, actually. My goal is simply "to look or feel more toned this week than I did last week" When I get to where I want to be, I'll know it. But for now, just "better each week" is good enough for me.
Good progress you've made. I see more difference between the second and third months than between the first and second. The third shot's in a much better location too, with more flattering lighting even.
Jimbo Sat, March 20th, 2004, 08:27 AM Great progression! You can really see the fat going away in your gut and legs. Your arms are starting to take shape too!
Steele Sat, March 20th, 2004, 03:48 PM definately the best time to hit the weights hard
keep up the good progress
BusyChild Sat, March 20th, 2004, 04:31 PM Way to go man!!! Massive difference in your face, great going. Did you tan or is it tan in a bottle?
SteveB Sat, March 20th, 2004, 06:16 PM Where did your stomach go? :D
Thats some good progress, keep it up :tu:
Geed Sat, March 20th, 2004, 07:25 PM Did you tan or is it tan in a bottle?
Lol... no tan. Just different lighting due to the door shut behind me. I really don't tan well. When I try to tan I burn instead. I have very fair skin. I wish I could tan!
