View Full Version : My weight loss picture thread
LaynePink Thu, March 3rd, 2005, 12:44 PM I'm 20 years old, 6'3" and I am on a plan to reduce my body fat % and eventually gain muscle. Last Thursday, Feb 24, I started it. On that date, I weighed 192 pounds and probably had anywhere from 20-25% body fat. I have a "skinny fat" body type without a lot of muscle.
I weighed around 230 pounds at my peak in December 2003. I have been on several other plans to lose weight in the past year, but those have fizzled out over time. Fortunately, I haven't regained the weight. But now it's time to lose the rest once and for all.
It's now been a week since I began, and it's gone extremely well. I've kept my diet to be pretty strict, and I've lost 5 lb this week. My current weight is 187. Here are the pictures from last week, when I began at 192.

ellipticer Thu, March 3rd, 2005, 01:05 PM Hey Layne, good job! The lighting in the pics is different-- the side lighting is more flattering in the second shots... but the profile picture is an honest one and it definitely shows your progress; specifically around the gut.
LaynePink Thu, March 3rd, 2005, 01:08 PM Yeah, I took them at different times of the day, so the sun was coming in at different angles. I had an overhead light on in the first set too. Not much I could do. But from now on I'll continue taking them in the morning (the lighting in the second set) to be consistent. Thanks for the reply.

LaynePink Sat, March 5th, 2005, 03:49 PM Uh oh... got a big challenge ahead! My roommates bought all kinds of junk food today. Including pizza, chips, candy, cookies, the works. I'm trying to keep full with clean foods so I won't think about the junk. But damn... why does it have to even be there to tempt me?

LaynePink Thu, March 10th, 2005, 01:03 PM I'm back for my weekly picture update. Unfortunately, I didn't lose any pounds on the scale this week. I'm still sitting at exactly the same weight I was last week, 187. However, I was able to add 10 pounds on my bench press, so that tempers the fact that I didn't lose any weight on the scale.
LaynePink Thu, March 17th, 2005, 08:34 AM Another week, another update. I weighed in at 185 this week, a loss of 2 lb. I am happy with that. I would like to start seeing some body shape changes, such as getting rid of these love handles. It'll come in time, I suppose. I also got a camera phone, so I'm including a higher quality front shot. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to take a side photo with it, so I'll still use the webcam shots as the main pictures.
