Hey guys i just found out after eating my late night cottage cheese that i picked up the 4% milk cottage cheese instead of my regular fat free..The 4% had 4 grams of fat (with 3 grams being saturated) 6 grams of carbs/11grams of pro...Im trying to cut and im wondering if this can throw my entire diet for today off whack. Im not really that worried cuz i know it is one foul-up but i want to be sure if i can or cannot eat my 4% milk min cottage cheese?

thanx

Write it down and look at the macros. I usually tread lightly on the fat anyway - so an extra 8-12 fat grams would be nothing in the grand scheme of my diet. How closely are you tracking your macros - if you're spot on ratio (whatever you're doing - mine averages about 45p-40c-15f) you might want to make a slight adjustment somewhere else.

Remeber - diets are about trends over time periods - not every meal - your body is a suprisingly adaptive instrument.

As long as the p/c/f amounts in what you eat still fit within your daily targets, there should be no problem eating the 4% cottage cheese. It's all I eat, because I just like it so much better.

It's not "junk food" just because it has more fat than other cottage cheeses.
