Anyone know of the health advantages/disadvantages/nutritional value of Cous Cous?

I had some recently and it was very good. From what I under stand it is made with beans correct? It seemed like a pasta to me, so maybe it would be considered a carb? Or if it is beans it could be combined with some corn and be considered a "complete protein" ?

Just wondering about these things and as usual am asking my fellow "Stoners" ;) what they might have to share!

Thanks!

It's a different shape of pasta. I like it for variety. It can be mixed with olive oil & vegetables if you like, or taken plain, which is good too. It's easy to cook, too. Kind of like rice, 1:1 volume of couscous & water (maybe a little more water); boil the water, throw the couscous in & turn off the heat; let sit 5 min & you're done. I've had several varieties:

couscous, herb chicken - Near East (56g)
