anybody got any good suggestions?
Currently, my pro/fat meals consist of

- 2 scoops whey protien w/water
- 1 oz cashews

- ~4 oz chicken breast
- 4 meduim eggs (2 whole, 2 whites)

and......yeah...thats about all i can think of...protien and carbs is no problem, but protien and fat seems to limit my options for food, and quite frankly, I'm bored of eggs and nuts. what do you guys and gals eat for your protien/fat meals?

and while I'm at it, i have a question...why exactly is a fat/carb meal bad? I'm not talking about like a piece of cheesecake (i know why thats bad) but say like 2 tblsp of natural PB on some sprouted wheat bread? or does your body just not like that particular combo of nutrients?

WOw, I though I was the only person who ever put PB on tuna :) It sounds worse than it tastes...

Steak with oil
steak with ranch dressing/salad
chicken w/ salad and ranch dressing
chicken w/ salad and olive oil, garlic powder.
bacon,eggs
etc etc

Must... suppress... gagging... reflex... :p

 yeah, it may sound nasty, but I love the taste. I don't mix the two per se, A fork for the tuna from the can and a spoon for the natty PB from the jar.

I just have to watch myself because the fiancee will kick my ass if I don't scrape off the PB from the spoon before it hardens in the sink

This topic has been debated here before, so I'm not trying to start another debate, but since you asked and no one responded to this question...

If you do a little research, you'll find that this theory is far from universally accepted and is often referred to as "vodoo nutrition."

Try it out for yourself--if it works for you, that's great. But there is no scientific evidence to support the theory behind separation of carbs and fats.

cool...thats kind of what i thought...one of the many "if it works, do it" type of things...its not a meal i have often, usually as an afternoon snack, but i just cant eat natty PB from the jar, too much nutty for me i think, but spread on the sprouted wheat burger buns i get is damn tasty and provides roughly 320 calories, 18g fat, 11g protien and 42g carbs...but i figure if its GOOD fats, and unprocessed, slow burning GOOD carbs...whats the problem?

Cottage cheese and PB works for me. Depending on what else you eat, hard cheeses are a pro/fat option by themselves.

If you're vegan I don't know what to suggest besides soya and nuts.

Sardines in olive oil
Pink Salmon

It's hard to avoid carbs when you're vegan, because beans are so important to your protein intake.

There have been times I've just taken a big ol' spoonful of olive oil. It works best when you eat your protein source afterward (to kill the taste, texture).

Hey there Speedtrials,
I believe that the people who are using fatpro meals are not doing it for separating the two but mainly to not eat carbs much enless needed (like post workout) or if carb cycling. These methods are very different than what I believe you are refering to where people eat a fat pro meals and then eat a carb pro meal but never mix the two. The carb cycling is working incredibly for me and I have been "in the game" since the early eighties involved in body recompositioning. That is all~

Well, it seemed like the thread poster was referring to the "separation theory." If I misinterpreted that, my mistake. Perhaps Tanis6909 could clarify for us?

My breakfast is a chicken breast and three strips of bacon. Add some Mrs. Dash, some pepper, and some Frank's Red Hot sauce, and I never get tired of it. EVER.

Of course, the obligatory whey shake/flax oil combination a couple of times a day.

For lunch, I've been doing a half chicken breast/half can of tuna/two slices of cheese. I put it all on a plate and microwave the cheese over it. It works, tastes ok, but it's getting old...

... and supirman, I totally want to try PB and tuna now! If not at work, I can do it on weekends at home. That doesn't even sound nasty, it sounds awesome.

yeah, thats pretty much what i meant...i was just wondering wy carbs and fat cant make a meal...i mean, if its good, fibrous carbs (sprouted wheat & grains) and good, healthy fats (natty PB) i dont really see a problem. i factor it into my daily intake of the Big 3 (Pro, Fat & Carbs) its just eaiser to have that meal as an afternoon snack than to try and cook enough chicken and stuff to last the day first thing in the morning. and like i stated, its not like the meal is completley devoid of protien (11g) just the main caloric makeup of the meal is fat and carbs

See the above for my explanation, really. I don't really care about "OMG MUST SEPERATE THEM", so much as I'm trying to avoid carbs except when necessary. Carbs are necessary after lifting, so I take all mine in for the day at that time.

Man I love me some dextrose!

Stallone pudding (20 gm pro, 2gm fat, 2gm carb, 100 cal) and natty PB. Yes, it's an indulgence (expensive, too) but yummy. :)
