View Full Version : Newbie needs critiquing of leg workout

I have only been working out for a couple of weeks and after gathering some information in various forums, here is the workout that I have come up with for my legs. I am 31 years old, 196lbs, 23% BF. I have a home gym with plenty of dumbells, barbell, bench, and very good multi-purpose machine.

All of the following exercies will be performed with the following rep progression (12x (warmup) - 10x - 8x - 6x (or till muscle failure))

Leg Extensions
DB Squats (Would do BB Squats but I have no spot)

DB Lunges
Leg Curls

DB Standing Calf Raise
DB Rocking Standing Calf Raise

P.S. I'll plan other areas of the workout once I get a good leg program together.
