hey all ive been bulking for like four weeks now using the splits outlined by scheeve in his bulking thread (four days of lifting a week). Tuesday is my leg day but I have a big organic chem test later in the day...and I dunno maybe I should study in the morning for it instead of working out. Should I move my leg day to monday (combining with chest/tri) or postpone it a day to wednesday (my usual cardio day)?

Also, this is a little off-topic but the buliking is going really well. My arms have bulked significantly and I have gained 6-8 lbs. But I dunno...its weird but I feel like I am getting weaker in certain exercises and stronger in others even though my entire upper body is bigger? Why is that?

I would not move the workout and make sure I study each night prior to the test. The workout that day will be a great way to make sure you mind is focused and, as well, relieve any stress or anxiety you are feeling that day. Make sure you get a full night's sleep the night before.

I agree with chicanerous. I took orgo, spent plenty of time studying but also kept time for workouts in between and I definitely handled the stress a lot better than friends of mine. An extra hour studying won't help but an hour of working out to relieve the stress definitely will.

I say bump it a day and study for the test. The extra day of rest will probably do you some good and more studying can't hurt.

Well i studied saturday, sunday, and today....did a ton of practice problems. Just finished reading the chapters in the book...so I guess I feel pretty ready.
As for the workout, thanks for all the advice guys. I think I will plan to check in early tonight and work out tomorrow morning (it does relax me to a certain extent). If I feel terrible in the morning I will skip it but I am pretty sure tomorrow is a leg day.
