Right now i have only been hitting each muscle group once a week. My question is, if i'm trying to hit a certain muscle harder to get it equal with the rest of my body should i hit it harder during my normal routine or should i hit it twice a week?

My problem muscle is my calves (or lack of) should i hit these twice a week? And do you have any good calve routiens? Right now i've just been using the sitting calf raise maching and putting on enough weight so i can only do 4 to 6 reps for 4 sets and then i do the same with standing calf raises. They burn like hell for about 10 minutes and then i feel nothing.

I find 12-16 reps works best for calves. Do them slow and get as much streach as you can up and down. Use as much weight as you can.

I have been doing calves twice a week for quite some time and haven't noticed any negative side effects. I do both seated and standing raises, one workout I will do 12-15 reps, then the next I will shoot for 6-8.
