WOW!! I just took my first class last night and i'm am one hurtin' pup today!

Talk about a full body workout, I thought i was getting into good shape running 5 miles every other day, but 15 minutes into the class i was ready to pass out. If I didnt know the difference (and I didnt) between aerobic and anaerobic conditioning I sure as hell do know.

After already being influenced by Tae Kwon Do I have some un-learning to do of my movements to fit the style but afte one class i'm completely excited to begin a full program.

Functional combat training and one INCREDIBLE full body workout, i'm in love!! I think i'll stick with this for a year or two then switch to another style.

The gym I go to offers special 8 wk classes of Krav Maga every 3 months or so, for an additional fee - like $150.00 or so. A friend who has taken it a few times, always ends up with a variety of bruises on her fore arms, and some very impressive skills. She keeps trying to get me to take the next session, but I just don't have the time, and my excess money these days tends to get funneled into sessions with the boxing coach. You will have to keep us updated as to how you like it, what kinds of things you are learning.

A good friend of mine is training to be an instructor in it. There is a trip coming up in the summer for 10 days training in Israel. Flights, accomadation, food etc all for €950/$1250/£670. The training you receive on the course is invaluable and anyone who ever wanted to learn a form of self defence that is truely effective I'd recommend it.

absolutely, i'm going to my second free session tonight then i'll be signing the year membership contract. My arms were definetly pretty banged up from tuesdays class, I had a sleeper hold put on me to know what it feels like, then we learned how to get out of one and attack on the reversal, as well as fending off choke attacks. I can't WAIT for weapons training.

Yoda, do you have a website or anything with details of that trip? that sounds like an incredible experience.
