View Full Version : Flooring Lucky13MN Sun, February 6th, 2005, 10:02 PM I currently have large pieces of left over carpet (large enough to where it covers the whole area). Thinking about changing it over the the rubber flooring now... for those that have it, what do you recommend? It would be over concrete. I'd like to have mine over some of that black flooring you see at the gyms: 1) protect our existing carpet, 2) Cushion, 3) Sound. MGB Sun, February 6th, 2005, 11:22 PM Rubber flooring is better, I'm sure, but I recently put some padding down, berber carpet on top of the padding, and put my rack and weights on top if it. Works fantastic. The carpet was $30 from Sams. jjchambers Mon, February 7th, 2005, 06:27 AM Sam's club has 8 2x2 sections of 1/2" thick rubber flooring for $15.50. It's multi-colored on one side but all black on the other. Way cheaper than what I found at Wal-Mart of Sports Authority. I have about a 10x18 area I want covered... so right now I'm about 4 boxes shy. Kind of spendy, so I'm thinking about just doing the area under the bench, etc and not the dip station.
