Hi Everyone, i'm currently around 15% BF, was wondering if anyone here would be interested in a challenge to get down to 7%?? :D OptimusPrime Wed, February 9th, 2005, 07:18 PM shiit, ill focks witchya. you wanna change it to 8% instead? Yeah man i'm good with that, let's make it 8...i see you're on 13% right now? You got a good head start on me! also in your signature your goal is to get down to 8% by the 10th March!!! That's gonna be tough for me! I was thinking of getting to 7% by May :o Let me know how you wanna do it! wh0rume Wed, February 9th, 2005, 07:22 PM ok, lets say may. i think im 14% right now cuz iv been slackn for a week. Even though I am shooting for eight. I have no clue what I am at right now, I need to get it checked out. I may be able to this weekend. I don't know if you wnat to have more than 2 people in your challenge, so no big deal if not. But if it would help me start counting my Kcals and macros it would be for the best for me. Let me know.... My journal is up in the journal section under "sox311's journal" OptimusPrime Wed, February 9th, 2005, 07:54 PM Hey Sox, the more the merrier! :tu: So both you and whorume are aiming for 8% so i guess we'll go for 8! Um don't know how we can get the thread title changed though :p So what was your BF at last time you checked? sox311 Wed, February 9th, 2005, 08:17 PM I have never had it checked. I need to call my gym and see if they can do it on Saturday morning. Actually, I think I had it taken about 4 years ago and it was at 15 I think. Here is the link to my journal with pictures, take a guess if you think, I have no clue. http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?p=118594#post118594 OptimusPrime Wed, February 9th, 2005, 08:33 PM Sox you look around 11-12% to me, so you're in the lead! Gonna post my diet/routines tomorrow, gotta go sleep now...back and biceps was hard today :flex: wh0rume Wed, February 9th, 2005, 08:34 PM they will tell you 11 or 12. you'll be tough to beat, but ill try. im considering taking a pic, but im too shy. 13.7 to me is obesity :o. sox311 Wed, February 9th, 2005, 08:49 PM I will get it checked. I don't know if I will be that low. In my eyes i have a long way to go..... Ever since whoareyoume started the am cardio challenge I have done AM cardio every day except one, and I think the challenge helped alot. So who knows, maybe this challenge will make me start to count my cals for the first time ever. Oh yea, and 13.7 isn't bad at all. But don't post a pic if you don't want to. I plan to have mine up for a while as motivation, but when I am done and have reached my goals, all the pics and info will be deleted. wh0rume Mon, February 14th, 2005, 01:43 PM well i went running again this morning. Ever since i got a heartrate monitor, i've been running every morning no matter the weather. i think its mainly because my run is easier - i had to cut it down to 4.5 miles, 50 minutes just to keep my heart rate at around 160. last time i weighed myself i was 180.8lbs, 12% bf - but i think this was last thursday morning. I had pretty much an entire cheat weekend on a ski trip, but i think i still kept my calorie intake under 2100 per day. (even though one of my meals consisted of 100% chips-ohoy cookies :spaz: ) learning to snowboard was a near-impossible task for me - i failed. i think i must have horible balance or something. But in learning, i feel ive used muscles i havnt used before - because i ache all over. i actually love this feeling which is strange. anyway - at this rate, i may hit my 8% goal sooner than expected, possibly march 1st. wait, what day is it... ok maybe not :D if i hit it by april 1st ill still be happy! another side note - one thing i noticed when skiiing is how many ski-guys have trophy wives! jesus! the whole resort was all knockouts! 40 yr olds that looked like they were in their mid 20s, and then they had daughters.. man.. sox - where did you go skiing? (i went to cascade mtn near wisconsin dells.) wh0rume Fri, February 18th, 2005, 03:53 PM this is sure a lively challenge  Anyway - lifted a little last night. had oatmeal about 30 minutes before, not because it was nutritionally the best thing to do, but because i was hungry as hell. (plain mixed with water of course) Bench: 0th set: 95lbs x 12reps 1st set: 115lbs x 10reps 2nd set: 125lbs x 8reps 3rd set: 135lbs x 6reps 4rd set: 95lbs x ~15reps (until failure) Crunchies: 1st set: 50reps 2nd set: 40reps Calf Raises: 1 set - aprox ~60reps (until failure) PWO shake: 30g protien, 60g dex, 1tblspn glutamine + water. I really dont know what im doing when it comes to lifting. i do this same routine twice a week combined with daily running. im sure alot of the people on this site would critisize the SHIT out of me for this, but once i post my pix next month, those same people will be saying "whoa, how did you bulk and cut at the same time? what's your diet and routine??" so skinzz on you in advance. sox311 Fri, February 18th, 2005, 05:26 PM Yea, I don't really know what is wanted from us in the thread. I lift 3 nights a week right now, and try to do cardio 5-7 mornings a week, and have 2 hoops games a week. My last hoops game is tonight though. So soon it will be lifting 4 to 5 nights a week and cardio 5-7 mornings a week. I haven't been lifing my legs since my basketball season started, but will start again on Monday. Lifting will be like this- On weeknights at 4:30 PM after work. 1 - Legs/abs 2 - Chest/Tri 3 - Back/Bi 4 - shoulders/abs Here is what a weekday looks like for me: Wake up at 6:15, 45 minutes of Cardio Whey + Water shake after that and after shower. Get to work at 8:00 AM Eat Oats and a whey+water shake at 10:30. Eat another meal, chicken or tuna or roast beef or turkey or something like that around 1:30-2:30. Get off work @ 4:00 Lift right after work around 4:30 pm get done lifting around 5:30 have PWO whey+dex(gatorade powder) Eat dinner around 6:30-7:00 I try to get another small meal in, or just have another whey protein shake. wash, rinse, repeat......... wh0rume Sun, February 20th, 2005, 07:32 PM i think im to the point where i can wake up in the morning and just *know* what my bodyfat % is. is that strange? 12.9 id say - after a weekend of heavy drinking. (pictures may be coming soon) as for fat - do you guys feel that you can FEEL when fat is in the process of being stored? its like it tickles or itches under the skin in certain places. Moveon Sun, February 20th, 2005, 07:51 PM as for fat - do you guys feel that you can FEEL when fat is in the process of being stored? its like it tickles or itches under the skin in certain places. Being aware of what one's body is telling you is very important...but this? Fat being stored? That's a WHOLE new level of awarenss I know nothing about...  BTW Keep up the good work. wh0rume Sun, February 20th, 2005, 07:56 PM Being aware of what one's body is telling you is very important...but this? Anyway, i think sox is winning, but i might be slightly lower bf - he just looks better. my bf today was 11%. very depressing, but that's what i get for eating crap for 2 days straight. |
