I hope I put this in the right section.

Ok here is my problem:

I am 6' almost 6'2 and I will probably grow a little more after that. I plan on becoming a firefighter once I graudate high school this summer but I may have hit a roadblock in my dream job. One of my friends nephew's is also trying to become a firefighter but nobody will take him because he doesn't weigh enough. Now whether this is true for every fire department across the country I am not sure.

I currently weigh 144.9 according to the scale at the hospital when I screwed up my ankle. I would like to gain some more weight preferrably muscle but I think I might need to gain some more weight to go with that. I am hoping that it would help my overall appearance and my friend's and family would finally stop talking about how skinny I am.

So any suggestions as to what I can do gain some more weight?

Welcome to the forum :tucool:

You must now devote some time to learning about fitness. To put on muscle you need to perform a bulking cycle consisting of weight training and an appropriate diet.

Here is a guide to bulking:

This is the site of a skinny bloke who put on heaps of muscle:

Also check out the articles at bodybuilding.com

Use the search function here and read other people's journals to see how they are achieving their bulking goals.

After doing all this, you should be able to write yourself a program. For tips, post it in the weight training section and the experienced members will be more than happy to critique it for you.
