I've been sticking with an approx. 40-40-20 macronutrient diet, with fluxtuating calorie intakes. However, I was wondering, is there a general concensus on whether or not I should change the calorie amount or macronutrient ratio depending on whether I'm lifting or doing cardio on that day? I lift 3x a week and do cardio 4x a week, and currently I'm cutting as I have about 15 more lbs of fat to drop. Any suggestions? Thanks

Good question. I personally do change the diet somewhat depending on my activities for the day. "Eat to support the activity" as they say. I find I do this much more during cutting phases as well, for example my carb intake is much much higher on weight-lifting days than it is on non-weight-lifting days (the PWO shake alone increases that day's carb intake very much). In respect to PWO nutrition alone I would assume that your ratios would be different on lifting days than on non lifting days.

I just read an article on bb.com last night that goes into this slightly but from a different perspective and from a bulking point of view: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/berardi41.htm.
