View Full Version : Caffeine Pills - WOW!!!
wh0rume Fri, January 28th, 2005, 08:08 PM you want energy for cardio? i took a NoDoz before running - i ran 8 miles without getting tired! amazing.
I'm sure it helps the fat loss process too. (werent too expensive, i dont remember the price though...) I'm sure this would apply for any type of caffeine.
I really suggest trying it.
Does anyone know if there are side effects?
Lucky13MN Fri, January 28th, 2005, 09:21 PM Some people do stacks (ECA or ECY), watch your blood pressure if you have problems with that. If you take it in the morning you should be alright, but if you do a night workout it could obviously cause sleeplessness.
ECA
Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin
ECY
Ephedrine, Caffeine, Yohimbe
Speed stacks basically :) Supposed to be good for weight loss.
The_Tic Fri, January 28th, 2005, 09:58 PM For me GNC Thermoburst works better than NoDoz. Why you may ask?? Why it gives you NOOOOO jitters, and all the energy!!!!! Yay for that. :D NoDoz and other caffeins do that to me. I get all jittery, shakey, racey and I can't stand that.
wh0rume Fri, January 28th, 2005, 10:00 PM i DEFINATLY noticed the jitters. i took it before a test thursday morning and i had to draw some streight lines for a diagram. they came out as squiggles.
helicase Fri, January 28th, 2005, 10:23 PM A high dose of caffeine will cause heart palpitations. In people with normal hearts, not much of a problem.
1FastGTX Fri, January 28th, 2005, 10:40 PM From my research it seems a lot of caffeine pills have TONS of caffeine in them. I'll take coffee myself. :)
Strapped Fri, January 28th, 2005, 11:11 PM I think that most caffeine supps are dosed at 200mg/pill. Atleast the ones I have seen.
supirman Fri, January 28th, 2005, 11:57 PM I don't care what products GNC has, I would NEVER pay their rediculous prices for anything. It's pure insanity!

wh0rume Sat, January 29th, 2005, 02:10 AM ...and since supirman doesnt buy GNC - that means wh0areume doesnt buy GNC!!
I will mimic anything he does inorder to look like his avator :D
AndrewB Sat, January 29th, 2005, 04:36 PM I stick to coffee myself. How many pills and what Mg of caffeine are you taking. I usually drink a 12 oz cup of Starbucks Sumatra before working out. According to this chart (http://www.cspinet.org/nah/caffeine/caffeine_corner.htm) that is about 375 mg. It definitely gives my a noticable mental boost. It also seems to give me more energy, but it may be more a result of the increased mental alertness.
wh0rume Sat, January 29th, 2005, 04:43 PM one 200 mg tablet

I don't know if only a cafeine pill would cause a rise in blood pressure. When I used an ECA my BP became rather high. I just got off the Ephedra, and it went back to normal. Sure, cafeine in large quantities will raise your BP. But just taking it before a run won't do anything different than drinking coffee.
reve Sat, January 29th, 2005, 08:29 PM caffine is addictive, and you will experience withdrawl symptoms that can be quite bad sometimes. (headache, feeling run down etc etc)
Wilderbeast Sun, January 30th, 2005, 02:10 PM caffine is addictive, and you will experience withdrawl symptoms that can be quite bad sometimes. (headache, feeling run down etc etc)Not everyone gets bad withdrawl symptoms. I havent had any problems with 200mg doses before cardio. However a friend of mine got quite bad withdrawl after only a months worth of doing the same as me.
