im asking primarily about tuna and sardines. Canned tuna and canned sardines. Do they need to be refrigerated. If they dont how long will they keep? Can u eat tuna straight from the can, i guess u may have to drain it.

I eat tuna straight from the can. I drain the water with the lid. Like all canned goods, it lasts a long time on the shelf, unrefridgerated. Like at least more than a year.

I've never had sardines.

I leave my tuna packages on my desk at work... I figure they're on the shelf at the grocery store non-refrigerated.

Guessing if you open the package then you'd want to refrigerate though.
