So, I have planned to eat 1980kcal today. However, now that it's 6pm I still have 1000kcal left to eat. I possibly can't achieve that without eating massive amounts of junk food, like 800kcal salami pizza and a protein shake with cacao powder... Which both contain lots of single carbs.
I've tried to cut night-carbs almost completely off, so that I'd be eating mostly fats and proteins after 6pm.
What should I do in a situation like this? Eat all the 1000kcal in five hours before going to bed? Or eat like 300-500 more mostly non-carb calories? Eating 1000kcals of healthy proteins & fats is practically out of the question today, because I'm almost out of supplement proteins and there isn't any tuna, cottage cheese or curd in the fridge... of course I could take 100g of rape oil but then I wouldn't get a lot of proteins (pizza has some, really :) )

How did you arrive at your caloric intake for the day, but didn't plan out the meals which will be responsible for delivering that energy over the course of many meals?

I'm thinking theres a common misconception about calories.. people are so worried about how much calories they take in, but now about their macros... Also, if you are training well, you can burn like 3000+ cal/week with ease and then still not worry about your cals as long as your macros are there...

And in this guys case.... I wouldn't Bum rush tons of crap down my throat just to try to meet my needs.... gotta regulate (warren g style lol)

You know what, when I started out a month ago, I couldn't get it right. I would be under, I would be over calories, I would be WAY over fat some days -- but here's the thing, I learned from my mistakes. Each day I'm getting better at stuff and refining my diet a little better.

Today and Yesterday I'm working on drinking enough water.

I still haven't figured out a way to get all my meals balanced (carb, protein, fat) -- my at least my DAY is balanced.

So I guess my advice to you is, remember that I'm a noob, don't sweat it. Get it closer the next day, and closer the next. Once you master that, move on to the next step.

Going from 'Supersize me' to ABSOLUTELY everything these guys say is an impossibility for me. I just take it step by step. :gl:

Only these days are hard for me which I spend mostly at home doing nothing. On school days I have to limit my eatings... And also, I have better food usually in my fridge. Gotta hate those parents... I'm requesting them all the time to buy whole foods and lots of protein but no can do :P Today they decided we'd eat little fatty sausages and french fries. NICE. (Wish I had a little bit more resources...)

It's "rypsiöljy" in Finnish, I just used some Internet dictionary to translate it into english, and it gave me that absurd "rape oil". Yay.

What I ended up eating was cashew nuts, a protein drink (50% whey 50% soy w/ milk), 50g of oil and 50g ham. So I got 1866kcal total which leaves me an acceptable 636kcal deficit.

I'm mainly concerned of my total kcals (to hit the -500kcal as accurately as possible every day), protein grams (just to get enough) and avoiding night carbs (which are BAAAD ;) )

Overall, I think I'm making at least some progress. Pics are coming at june :jumping:

I think you've arrived at 6 pm already and still only consume 1000 kcal is because your meals through the day are so small on calories, so next time, instead of trying to shove 1000 kcal in one eating, eat 300-400 kcal per meal about 5-6 times a day... makes more sense, doesn't it?
