I stumbled across an article on how Frank Columbu trained Sly Stallone for rambo 2 in 1984: 'When Stallone came to me he was 170 pounds very well defined but felt he was not big enough and wanted to put on 10 pounds of muscle in 6 weeks. Sly gained just about 10 pounds in 6 and half weeks' Columbu worked out a programe for stallone based on a 2day double spilt: Monday/wednesday/friday-Morning,Chest,back,abs-Afternoon,Shoulders,arms,abs. Tuesday/thursday/saturday-Morning, calves,thighs- Afternoon, rear delts, traps, abs. His chest went from 44 inches to around 50, waist 30 to 29.5 inches, biceps went from 16.5 to 18 inches. by the end of the training sly was curling 70 pound dumbells. About the steroids he said in a interview in 2000 while promoting get carter that he has never taken steroids but has taken a amino acid nearly as strong as steroids when making rambo 3. quote 'All steroids do is make you a cumbersone apelike goon'

Hrm I wonder what OTC Amino works like a steroid? :)

Steroids were not illegal back then, I don't think. I'm pretty sure he used them (I really don't care though).

I typed in "stallone training for Rambo" and the first hit was a headline that read Sallone ot make another Rambo. At 58 years old he will be making the fourth Rambo movie starting later this year. Also he will be making the sixth Rocky movie. I never rented the last Rambo movie. I might do that today. tankout

HE LOOKS LIKE HE"S MADE OUT OF WAX... you think he could vacation somewhere warm and get a tan or something. All those veins in his chest make him look like a burn victim in that picture. He definately looks like rambo material though.

In a interview for muscle-fitness in november he said he was training so hard he actualy started to lose muscle so he had reshape his whole training routine to 3days a week at high intensity.

Yeah, have to agree with the vein thing... kind of creepy IMO... But wow, love the serratus anterior - that looks awesome!

I've read in multiple places that Stallone used to take steroids during the Rambo days. He's still kept up a good training routine, though. Also, he's only like 3' tall.

He probably still does, it's the basis Forza-T (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/is/for.html), one of the prducts in his InStone line. Stallone's business partner is Mark Arnold (Patrick Arnold's brother) so you know it's got to be a quality product.
