Hey all, I live in Minnesota and it has been remarkably cold lately. I seem to be losing motivation to work out a lot more during this cold stretch. In addidtion, when I do work out, my performance is down; I feel lethargic in the weight room. Does anyone else who lives in a cold climate have similar issues? I am trying to not let it get to me, but i think it is sort of a subliminal effect on my central nervous system. My body just does not have the same energy.

Thanks,

Robb

I work *outside* in this #$#^ from 5am to 4pm! (Wisconsin)

I w/o after work and what motivates me to get to the gym this time of year is I take a very long, hot shower PWO at the gym instead of racking up the big H20 bills at the house.

Do you sit at a desk all day? I know I'd be less motivated to hit the gym if I was inside a warm, stuffy office all day.

It's been brutal here in Chicago, too, so I can definitely empathize with you. Everything just seems to slow down during the winter months, including one's motivation to stay active. Short of moving to a warmer climate, there's not much we can do but fight through it.
