Hi everyone I'm very new here. I'm currently getting back into shape, I've been doing it about a month now.

I am looking for a workout plan I used once before. In highschool I was out of shape not too overweight just flabby. At the end of my junior year I decided I wanted to play varsity soccer (My HS didn't have football, soccer was the "big" sport) I tild the coach about a week before School got out for the summer, he looked at me funny and gave me a list of requirements (later he said he never thought I would make it) one of the requirements was to run 2 miles in 12 minutes.

I bought this book that was written by a formwe Navy seal and it was based on a 12 week program taking someone who was in terrible shape to very good shape. I followed this as best I could. I had never worked out before. I didn't know I had to give my body time to rest! I couldn't figure out why there were 60 days in the schedule (12 weeks x 5days/week) I thought I was supposed to workout 7 days a weeks. I did. I worked all day in the heat fixing outboard engines, then came home and worked out about 2 hours a night. after 6 weeks my body gave out. I crashed, it was all I could do to goto work and come home and sleep. after a week of rest I started again.
to cut this short. I made the team. the transformation in me is one of the defining moments of my life. Especially when I went to a party the adybefore school started and the changes in the girls attitudes towards me....A nice confidence boot for a teenager!

so it's 10 years later, I really want to find the running shedule in the book, it was based on intervals, it started with running and walking then putting more running in and some sprints.

does anyone know what i'm talking about? I'd love to get a copy of that schedule! :tu:

I actually got one about 1-2 weeks ago at Books a Million.

You could easily get it off any online site probably also. You'll probably safe money online, but I think it cost me about $10 at the store.

no that's not it, it was pretty plain looking just an older guy with a blue bud/s shirt and khaki swim trunks on the front. of course they may have changed the cover.

The workout book you are looking for was written by an old SEAL Masterchief (I don't remeber the name. http://shop.navyseals.com/product/BKHR004

I've read and done pretty much every seal workout book in my process of preping for eod school so you may also have been talking about Mark Delises book but I'm pretty sure it was masterchief chalkers book you were looking for.
