I was wondering if i could do my weights workout from 3:30 to 5 and then do my cardio from 7:30 till 8:15 all on the same day. I know people talk about how it minimizes size. I was wondering if i could experience strenth loss from this or if it is as bad as cardio right after weights.

There's really nothing wrong with post-workout cardio, if you ask me. It's never slowed me down in terms of weight loss or strength gain. I've done it many times, and on occasion just to change things up I plan to do it in the near future.

Personally, I believe that if you're doing LISS cardio, you'd be fine doing it post-workout. I wouldn't go overboard (no more than say, 40 minutes abs. max!) and I wouldn't do HIIT as that's a "double-whammy" on your muscles for one workout, but that's just my opinion... I could be wrong.

Postworkout moderate state cardio is actually a highly utilized method of fat loss.

The justification for it goes something like this: much like AM cardio, after a workout, your body is in a glycogen depleted state so your body burns fat as its primary fuel source.

I'm sure that there are people that disagree with this, but there are also those that disagree with HIIT...and those that disagree with AM cardio...and those that think squatting makes your ears fall off....

best of luck..

From personal experience I can tell you that my muscle gains where minimal until I stopped doing cardio after my lifting. When I alternated my cardio, doing it on non-lifting days, there was an immediate and very noticable increase in musculatiry and strength.

Everyone is different. Try out both ways for a month each..
