I just read a recent article that milk should be avoided if you're trying to get really lean because the lactose in the milk is considered a simple sugar. Instead it's better to get your calcium from a supplement.

Anyone have any information on this?

Try and use skim milk and you should be fine. Just use small amounts as its still high in calories.

While it's a good source of protein, the sugar in milk does not compliment a cutting diet. I personally do not drink any milk while cutting based on past experiences (i.e. I find it easier to cut without milk in my diet than with milk in my diet).
