Hi everyone.
This is my first post, so hello to you all.
I am 5 ft 8in, 170 lbs with a bodyfat of approx 20%.
I have posted here because just now losing more body fat is my no1 priority.
I was going to try a 1700 calorie diet with a 40/40/20 split.
Also doing 5 nioghts cardio(45 mins each time) and weights on 3 of those nights.
Does that sound about right to you guys?
Any advice would be great as I am pretty new to all this.

hehe, just read that back and I sound a bit like a stalker don't I :)

Anyway, I've just started too but so far I've just been getting my overall fitness up to scratch and doing plenty of reading.

I'm about the same stats as you but I've not checked my bodyfat % yet (how do you do that btw)

Welcome Stanzo,

Your plan looks ok, just dont go down to 1700 cals staight away, do it gradually. Also do your cardio in the mornings and your weights in the evenings (at least 8 hrs apart)

marcus, Thanks for the advice. Im going to start my new plan tommorow & will keep you posted about how it is coming along
