Hey All,

I'm looking for ideas for a fair and easy way to hold an office pool. A few of us here at my work (about 13 people) all want to join in and see what we can do. I told everyone 50$ a person for 12-24 weeks. Has anyone ever done one of these before? and if so what Format did you us. I am trying to think of fair ways this can be done since all of us are different weights.

The pool I've wanted to setup is thus:

Everyone sets their own goal for lbs of fat lost. It could be 5 or 50 in 12 weeks.

Everyone who meets their goal doesn't have to pay anything to anyone.

Everyone who doesn't meet their goal has to pay everyone who does $1.00 for each pound of fat lost.

Anyone who drops out of the competition (be it an explicit or implicit drop-out) has to pay everyone $2.00 for each pound loss.

The higher you set your goals (and achieve them) the more money you get paid.

BTW, if out of 13 people you're the only one who succeeds, and you lose those 47 lbs of fat, that's $564 !!!

Sweet Idea!!! Thats what were goin to do. I added something to spice it up even more.

Everyone puts in 25$ at the start of the 10 weeks (were going 10 weeks). The Highest goal set (and achieved) wins the starting pot.
