Last year around the same time I got really motivated to lose weight. I was up to 250lbs and very unhappy. So I started out with cutting out fast food and pop, which led into logging my daily diet and lifting weights and running. I eventually got down to 220 by april and was on top of the world. Over the summer I lost interest b/c I was happy with the new me. And six months later I am back to 245lbs and unhappy again.

So I decided to make myself happy again and get down to my goal weight of 190lbs but in no hurry. I want to do it the right way so I'm not 190 and still fat. So I started like I did last time, cut out fast food and pop, so far its working good. I am also logging my food but I haven't been getting in my 40/40/20 to good yet.

My biggest step so far is that I convinced my girlfriend to join the GYM with me and we started going tonight. Last time I just used a weight bench at home and ran outside. Once I got to the gym, the motivation was just emminating from the place. So I can say after my first visit to the gym I will be back at least 3 times a week if not more.

Sorry for the drawn out story but maybe posting here will keep me motivated!

Thanks

Today marks a week off of pop and fast food!! I don't think I have lost anything yet. But I have made it to the gym twice this week and plan to go tomorrow! So I am feeling better about myself, but have not noticed any differences or losses except for the soreness from lifting. :bb:

well a little update

I am not that strict on the diet but I am definitely eating better than before and I have made it to the gym atleast 3 days a week and have done strenous cardio until today when I started using the weights. I saw a friend from high school there who has lifted his entire life so I started lifting with him so he could steer me in the right direction!
The future is looking bright!
