Hello everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I started dieting around October of ’03. I just had a physical and my weight was up to 243 lbs. at that time. I knew it was time to do something about it. I dieted and ate very litte and by April of ’04 I was down to 167 lbs. Even at 167 lbs., I still had quite a bit of fat, but I don’t have any pictures of me at this weight.

I didn’t work out during my weight loss and started to look like what I have heard referred to as a “crackhead.”

During the last 6 months I have moved around a little and gained about 20 lbs. Today, as of 01-05-05, I weight 185 lbs.

I have known about this board for a little while and it gave me a lot of encouragement to keep on losing. But now I want to start lifting and lose some more weight. This is going to be very hard for me to find the time…I go to school 40 hours a week and also work a full time job, so I am hoping to just squeeze about 20 to 30 minutes in a day.

I’ve never posted pictures on here before, but I’m going to give it a shot.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me, from these pictures, roughly what fat percentage I was starting out at, and what I am now?

My goal is to be 175 lbs. And be 10% body fat.

How tall are you? what is your age? Info helps. My guess you started at 35% and now is at 15-18%. You haven't lifted or exercised at all? If not, you have some good genes somewhere.

Where would you do lifting? Home or gym? Equiptment?

Hi, thanks for responding. I will be 31 years old in 2 months. I used to lift when I was younger, say age 19-22 or 23. I never got really huge or anything, but I looked a lot better than I do now.

My upper body is not much, but I have always had nice legs and never really even worked them much. My grandma even has ripped legs and she is 75, so I guess it is a little bit genetic, lol. Wish it was more on my biceps and upper body though.

Anyway, here are some stats:
Age …………….30
Height…………5 10 ½
Weight…………185
Chest……………44
Waist……………37 ½
Hips……………..37 7/8
Thigh……………22 ½
Calves……………16
Ankle…………….9 7/8
Bicep…………….14
Forearm………….12 1/8
Wrist……………..6 7/8
Neck…………….15 ½

I’ll be lifting at home. I would like to join the gym, but I just don’t have the time right now….hopefully this fall when I’m out of school I will though.

I just bought some equipment for the house.
1. I slanted sit up board
2. A dip/pull up station with a back pad for leg raises
3. A triage shaped trap bar for doing legs since I don’t have room for a squat rack
4. And an assortment of solid steel dumbbells

This time around, I am going to give a keto diet a try and see how it works for me.

I’m working on a workout plan this week and should have it completed by next week and you can critique it. This week I’m just taking it light and easy doing a bunch of different lift at light weight to get everything stretched out and warmed up for next week.

Thanks again,

well padawan, you seem awfully busy. What i would do if i wished to cut-up to 10% or even sub-10%. I would try and do a 4 day split, and cut down the time in-between sets. I can literally fry my shoulders or chest in 20 minutes. I would take/drink my shake on the way home from the gym, and i would have a dinner prepared in the microwave.

The other three days of the week, i'd try and do some cardio. Since you're so busy, i'd try and focus on not eating carbs within 5-6 hours of cardio. I would focus on lean meats and fats.

I would also cook week's worth of food at a time on the weekend. In about an hour of hard-work, you can cook several steaks, chicken breasts, and cut up tons of veggies. This way everything is premade and ready to go for you real quick.

good luck man! :tu:

I agree with rtestes - you got some good genetics there it looks like, great legs for someone who's not into working out anymore.
