I'm 6'2" and 266 pounds. All I want to do at this point is lose the fat and of course try to keep the muscle. At this point I'd like to get some sort of nutrition schedule fast and don't have time to shop and plan it out completely.
Thus I want to get people's opinions on this site:
http://www.sshe.com/
I would be looking at using the 2000 calories menu. I have no time to plan out all my foods right now. I having problems with milk lately so I would be cutting the three glasses out and by my calculations that would change the nutrition facts to:
Calories:1412 Protein:78 Carb: 221 Fat: 24
The rough part is that they only give an average for the nutrition facts, so I can't count it perfectly. But since I had no sort of nutrition before I believe this will still be a great improvement, even if I can't micromanage. Being given food like this removes the temptation for me.
To balance this I would add a protein powder drink after my workout and one later on.
Calories:1812 Protein:174 Carb: 223 Fat: 24
Now from my limited experience I understand a person should be eating around 10x their body weight, minus about 250 cals(would make itaround 2400 for me). However since I want to lose an extreme amount I dunno if this changes.
So it boils down to three questions:
1.)Is the base eating plan okay for my needs?
2.)Should I add more calories(understanding if I do they should be protein)
3.)What should I eat to add these cals if so?(more powder drinks/bars okay?)
Thus I want to get people's opinions on this site:
