View Full Version : I can't believe I did this...
karatetricker February 14th, 2004, 08:51 PM Well, I track my daily food intake in the Excel spreadsheet someone here sent me. I usually aim to have 1800 calories. Well, when I did the usual cell copy to make my next day, I somehow left out the first 1-2 rows, so my total calories for the day ended up being around 2150, two days of the last 3. Can I make up for it by taking in like 1600 calories for the next 3 days or should I just let it go?
Thanks!

I've found it works pretty well to have pre-made meal plans for a day that you can just copy & paste as-is. They should be pre-loaded with food and totals and such, just plug in your weight to see how far off from your target you are. At least, that works for me.

karatetricker February 14th, 2004, 09:27 PM That's what I do. I've been using it for like a month w/o a problem. On Wednesday (the first time I did this mistake), I must have copied over but somehow the SUM function got messed up and it left out the first 2 rows I think. Then when I used that for the next 2 days, one of them came out fine (probably because I deleted the first 2 rows since I ate a different breakfast) and the next day (since I eat the same meals every other day) was off as well.
Oh well, thanks for the advice. Now anyone have Nutritional advice?
Thanks!
corbint February 14th, 2004, 10:17 PM let it go bro, its only a few extra hundred cals over the course of 2 days. no need to go hypocaloric to fix it. you learned from your mistake, move on, dont try to overcorrect.
akm3 February 15th, 2004, 08:24 AM I agree that trying to 'fix' it will probably cause more harm then good. Let it go.

Teg4e February 15th, 2004, 11:05 PM I know what you're talkin about with the cut and pasting of Excel functions. I always double-check them now, because I did the exact same thing.
Don't go to 1600 cal. for the day, you won't be cancelling out the excess you had that day before. You don't want to endanger precious muscle by going too low on the calories. Two wrongs don't make a right. ;) Just get back onto your diet, and don't worry about the couple hundred extra calories.

if you miss a meal, or miss a workout. its in the past and you simply CANNOT make up for it in the future, you just can't
dont worry about.. its spiltmilk.. water under the bridge
dont make it be spilt whey isolate ;)
Berran February 15th, 2004, 11:36 PM I just did something similar.... I looked at my tub of whey protein today, and realized one scoop is only 35g... I've been takign 1 scoop all this time thinking that it was 70g *sigh*... Oh well time to start double scooping!
