View Full Version : If a were to follow what John did...
Transformer2004 Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 01:29 AM Would I get similar results? Because the way his physique looks after his initial cutting phase is what i want to look like, extrememly lean and defined. Now I know lots of people are saying he needed to put on muscle (Which he has done quite successfully with this most recent bulking phase) and he looked too skinny like that. Obviously id have to adjust calories for my own bodyweight, and i cant do exactly what he did, and i wont start so low in calories which he later realized was a mistake. So anyway are similar results feasible?
ltz Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 02:12 AM Everyone is different, so what worked for John probably and most likely won't work the same for you. It *might* work for you, but I highly doubt that you would get the same results as him, because everyone's body is different. If you mean you just want to get lean like him, then yeah that's definitely feasible.
reanimated838uk Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 04:20 AM I wouldnt recommend CV/Weights and a v v v low calorie intake. Just leads to muscle loss as John found out.
tensdanny Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 05:41 AM eat clean.
Fasted slow cardio.
veggies.
understand and learn why you eat what you eat, and adjust appropriately.
healthy fats.
you'll lose weight.
Naytch Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 09:42 AM Would you get SIMILAR results? Maybe.
Would you get THE SAME results? Probably not.
Adjust calories and follow the principles but don't get bummed out if you don't have the same exact results. Learn how to understand what works for your body. Good luck!

slush_puppy Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 10:44 AM How about instead of saying "similar results are feasable", you say "I'd be starting off on the right track". That'd be much more accurate. Remember, it's a long road, and along that road you're going to learn a lot about your body's reaction to different diet styles. Your body's ideal diet for cutting is most likely different from John's, but probably not terribly far off. Therefore, starting off in his direction is a great place to begin, but there's no guarantee that following John's plan will get you to his final result.

ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT!!
good luck man! :tucool: :tucool: :bb:
Sazuki Mon, January 3rd, 2005, 11:20 AM John is kinda hardcore. I wouldn't try to emulate him, I tryed and it lead to a overall burnout.
I wouldn't drop calories as much as he did.

Yes and no, try it. There are no gurantees with any program. You have to pick one that you think makes sense and go for it. Read and study or find a Guru or personal trainer. John did something you will never see with other programs, he gave you a day by day account from begining to end. Documented. I have never seen anyone do that as he did. If you followed what he did you would get results, maybe not the same but good results.
