I know my goals for this group are very simple.

1. Group up with people with similar goals in similar current states.

So yes, I think you should join.

Howdy folks.

Rogers23 and I have been IM'ing, and we'd like to shoot for comparing the best progress in a 12 week period. Are you all cool with starting tomorrow, January 3rd, and going until Monday, March 28 (I think that's 12 weeks).

We can do weekly photos, and list our body measurements every 4 weeks. We can also list our meal/exercise/general plan to meet our goal.

---

My name is Alan. I'm 24. I live in Seattle, WA, where I went to the U. of Washington and came out a Business - MIS major. I currently work for the Government in immigration/customs law, and my work is predominately sedentary. I've been flabby all my life. It was okay when I played football, but mildly depressing after I stopped playing. For a short period at the end of college I got really motivated and cut down from about 210 to 184 lbs... but much of that was due to the Atkins diet. After finding JSF I now know how to cut right, and to make it last.

I stand 5'9 tall, and as of the morning of January 2nd, 2004 I weigh 203.5 lbs. My measurements from www.MyBodyComp.com are as follows:

152 lbs LBM
51 lbs fat
25.09% BF%

Shoulders: 49"
Chest: 43"
Abdomen: 41"
Hips: 39"
Thigh: 26.25"

------

My current exercise plan is thus:
Sun, Tues, Weds, Thurs, Sat: 700 cals worth of cardio (~60 min on elliptical)
Mon: Alternate chest/biceps versus shoulders/triceps each week
Fri: Alternate back/forearms versus legs each week

I'm going to start out with 1,800 cal/day average (more on lift days when I supplement with creatine/dextrose). Once I get DietPower running again I plan to have 50% P, 30% C and 20% F macros.

------

My goal is to lose about 1.5 lbs of fat per week. I'd like to put on about 3 - 5 lbs of muscle, but I'm not sure how that will play in at the moment. So over twelve weeks that should be a loss of 18 pounds. My goal weight is 185 lbs.

Welcome to all the others who joined us!

At 6'3" you barely have much to lose daDude!

-------------------------

Here are my stats:

Height - 5'7"
Weight - 202lbs
Shoulders - 50.5"
Chest - 44"
Abdomen - 42.5"
Arms - 14.25"
Thighs - 27"
LBM - 149lbs
FM - 53lbs
BF - 26.25% according to mybodycomp.com
-------------------------

My lifestyle is very sedentary. I live in Cincinnati, OH and I work at home managing a private stock fund. I am in school for medicine now and go to class 3 days a week.

I used to be much more active and for my wedding two years ago weighed 155lbs. I injured my neck, right knee and right shoulder in several accidents that year (biking, car accident, etc). I ballooned up to 237 and have since lost 35lbs now down to 202.

I have not lifted a single weight in over 6 years so this will be my most difficult aspect as I enjoy cardio but hate weights!

------------------------------------------------

I have a nice recumbent bike and treadmill here, but I just now had to order a home gym online as I have no weights. Being so short (5'7") I honestly do not want to be very bulky, so I will focus on losing the fat and maintaining muscle or gaining a slight 2-3lbs. After this 12 weeks I will refocus on my progress and goals and change those around to gain more lean body mass.

------------------------------------------------

I'll post pictures every week for updates, and my goal is to lose 22lbs in 12 weeks.

Good luck to everyone!

I got to skip breakfast because I was busy pulling my wifes truck out of the median all morning. I just Thank god she is ok and didnt get hurt.

Anyway I know lunch is rolling around, just make sure you all stick to your diets etc.

BTW what are some of your diets?

So far my Diet plan is:
Nat. Pnut Butter
Veggies
Chicken
Oatmeal
Protien shakes
Banannas
WATER
ECA--- Havent decided yet?

I've also had an interesting start to the challenge. I went to bed at 8pm last night to so I could get my 8 hours before I had to be up at 4am. But at around 11am I woke up for some reason, and thought there was a spider crawling on my arm.

No more sleep after that no matter how hard I tried, so I ended up going to the gym at 3:00 in the morning and got my 700 cals worth of cardio in.

My diet will consist of a lot of Kashi Go Lean, tuna fish, veggies, protein shakes, and hopefully as few refined starches as possible... I'm going to miss rice.

I've taken a queue from John Stone and downloaded a .Gif image animator. I'm going to start taking my daily photos and adding them to an animated .Gif image so I can better visualize my weight loss day-to-day(s).

Headed for a nap now. I'll get my shoulder/triceps workout in around 9 pm tonight.

For all you who are joining us for this challenge, please share your picts and measurements.

Cheers,

My first day was greeted with little sleep as well.

I made it to bed at 3AM and had to be up at 9AM for trading, so only 6 hours. I normally try for 8.5.

I ended my trading day early at 11AM and ran several errands.

My meals went smoothly today and I am off for my workout now!

You must be one strong mo' fo', Stecman. I get the same average heart rate as you, but only burn 730 - 750 cals per 60 minutes. You're running on level 17 out of 20 or some such?

BTW, at 950 cals/day, 5 days a week... that's about 1.3 pounds a week if all else stayed the same. If you can cut your caloric intake by about 300 cals per day from BMR, that's an easy 2 lbs/week loss.

Bravo.

Stecman
January 4th, 2005, 01:03 PM
I was thinking it was high as well. It's from my Heart Rate Monitor Watch -- my max HR is 194, weight is 194, and the resistance on the Elliptical was on 9/20.

Weird that me and you had the same AVG HR but different calories.

What could account for the difference? You weigh a bit more so it couldn't be that...

What the workout / Diet plans you guys are using.

I'm going 5 days a week of 700 cal slow cardio (60 minutes).
I lift on Mondays and Fridays, with a four day split.

I haven't been logging my calories yet, but I'm shooting for a general calorie deficit. I'm not sure where my macros are at, but I'm trying to increase protein and decrease carbs.

202 lbs today! Let's go, fellas!

rogers23

I'm still on track and doing great!

Weighed in just now at 199.6 which includes about 1K calories eaten so far today and 50-60oz of water. Morning weight probably would have been 198.5 or so!

Love losing the initial water weight.

Great workout last night: arms/back

Nice bike this morning at 145HR 40mins

Keep up the good work everyone!

I have protien mix thats about it so far.

What do you think about ECA's, Creatine, etc

I think I asked this earlier but are you guys doing any supplements?

I have protien mix thats about it so far.

What do you think about ECA's, Creatine, etc

I take protein, glutamine, glucosamine, and creatine. I'm not so much concerned about the bulking quality of creatine, but I think it, along with the large amount of dextrose that they mix with it, gives me a lot more strength on the second half of my lift sessions.

----

Today was a bit of a tougher day. I think I'm starting to feel the calorie deficit. Overall, I was hungrier, and sleepier. I planned on having two lunches, but they got merged into one around noon.

And after dinner I passed out on the couch.

BUT, somehow I found the resolve to get up a while later and get to the gym, where I did 60 minutes at 135 bmp, and worked off 803 calories. w00t!

Also, I was down to 202 lbs this morning.

This challenge r0xors!

rogers23
January 6th, 2005, 02:54 AM
Congrats on the workout Velocity! Its hard to get up off the couch, but it's all worth it.

As for supplements I am only using protein, and little of that actually as I get plenty in my diet. (125-140gm/day)

I take alot of neutraceuticals such as Alpha Lipoic Acid, CLA, Omega 3-6-9 Blend, etc.

My biggest thing has been water intake. I have more than tripled my normal water intake. I used to drink 2 17oz bottles per day at most, and now its more like 6-8.

HOLY FREAKING CANOLI !!!

I just had my first Legs workout in what must have been about 2.5 - 3 months.

I thought I'd really suck, and I'm sure that compared to some serious gym rats I still do. But I started out doing barbell squats with 95 lbs. I did three sets and moved onto machine squats.

I started out with one 45 on each side, for maybe a total of 110 lbs or something.
I whipped out ten reps pretty easily.
Then I added a 25 to each side.
- another ten reps
another 25 to each side.
- another ten reps
another 25 to each side
- another ten reps
another 25.......

I ended up with 1 45# and 5 25# plates on each side, and still finished with 8 reps on the last set (that's my 6th set!).

I was really impressed about how I was able to ramp up the intensity on that, and really try to get myself to fail. And I carried that high feeling into my leg curls and extensions.

I finished the workout by doing 3 sets of standing calf raises. I think I started out doing 320# for 10 reps. Then 380# for another 10 reps. And I finally failed with the whole stack of weights (400#) for 8 reps.

Fookin' ey! I won't be able to #2 for a few days until I can bend my legs again, but it was all worth it! I'm really proud that I found the heart to push it out today. I hope you guys were able to do the same, and will continue to do so!

(btw, week 1's results are due @ 11:59 pm Monday night. Pictures and measurements, please.)

Wow. You're going to be sore. Good luck walking tomorrow.

I've been working hard this week as well.

Since monday I've lifted two days, did 40-60 minutes cardio 3 days and took one rest day.

I also logged into Fitday and am figuring out the exact calories I need and the protein / fat / carb combo I want. It's pretty hard getting the percentages right. Two days my fat is two high, a day everything was lower than I wanted, and the other my Carbs were WAY too high. What a challenge getting it right. I'll figure it out though. This weekend I'm going to work on that.

For those of you that haven't logged onto fitday.com, you've really got to check it out. It's really cool.

As a side note, I was really pissed off because I had a conference and the only option was pizza (when we usually go to the NICEST resaurant in town). I held back and tried to fast, but broke down and ate a peice. It wasn't enough so I ate 2 more. But I was pretty happy with only three pieces!

ucbgsr

I will be getting on this group as well

Now....200lbs and 6'. Im not sure about the body fat % . I'm going to pick up some digital calipers and myotape. My cheapo BF scale says im 24%, but I think thats a bit high. I've been lifting heavy for the past year and a half so I dont see how I could be 24%

Here is my progress

6/1/2003-12/1/2003- Dropped from 225-185

12/1/2003-6/1/2004-maintained between 185-190

6/1/2004-12/1/2004-bulked quite a bit, rose to the 195 range, but I didnt gain much fat. Friends and family noticed how I "got bigger"

Havn't worked out in a month due to my winter break so im in the 200lb range now

1/8/2005-3/8/2005...get down to 180lbs

From there on, down to 8%BF. Thats my goal and im not stopping until I get there. Hopefully it wont take too long. Going to the gym is easy for me, the diet part is terribly difficult however

Ill post some pics once I charge the batteries in my camera

Maybe we should have teams of 2.

And have 2 awards.

The person with the best loss of BF% and the team of two with the best BF% loss.

201 lbs. -2 lbs from last week. - 2 lbs from starting weight (203 lbs)

Current B.F. %:
22.98%. -2% from last week. -2% from starting B.F. % of 25.09%.

Current Lean Mass:
155 lbs. +3 lbs from last week. +3 from starting lean mass of 152 lbs.

Current Fat Mass:
46 lbs. -5 lbs from last week. -5 lbs from starting fat mass of 51 lbs.

I've gone from a 41" abdomen to a 40" abdomen.
Most of my measurements have shrunk by between .25" to 1". Although I've grown .25" in my hip and thigh measurements, though this may be a result of swolleness from Friday's leg workout, which is still causing me significant soreness.

I've managed to exercise everyday this week. 5 days of ~700 cal cardio, and two days of lifting.

I'm going to start lifting 3 days a week, while maintaining a 4-day split. I'm moving biceps from chest day to back day; and I'm cutting out ab work on shoulder day.

I can't tell much of a difference in my daily photos... I'm hoping the difference will become more apparent come week 3.

Cheers,
~alan

(p.s. I'm skeptical about the changes in lean/fat mass. It appears that MyBodyComp.com adjusts my numbers by a certain amount to fit into their formula better. But it's the best tool I have for now, and I'm not taking the #'s as gospel.)

I'm doing great as well. Kept everything going with exercise/weights and down to 191 now. Working on getting my diet perfected.

I went to the store and bought some creatine and glutamine.

How and when are you guys taking this? (and how much)

After weights? Everyday?

velocity

3 lbs for the week, Stecman? That's great!

I take Creatine right before and right after my lifting sessions. My package of Cell-Tech creatine says a dose is two scoops. Supposedly that provides 75 grams of dextrose. So I'll take one scoop (half a dose) just before my workout, and the second scoop right after.

I'll also take a scoop of protein powder just after a lifting session, too.

I'll take a does of glutamine powder with a protein shake just before bed every night.

Thats a pretty quick drop, what are you doing?

& Welcome.

I have recorded everything I've put in my belly in

http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=adamaz

my workouts are in there too - except for a most recent 2 which I have been too lazy to log.

I think 3 pounds of that are probably water, because I've cut my sodium consumption drastically by 1) not eating processed food and 2) not using much salt on my food.

I've been on average eadint 1000-1200 calories a day less than I burn... but with a typical minumum of 2000 cals. According to fitday, I go through about 3300 a day. Some days more from evercise. I also do long cardio on weekend - either 3 hour day hikes over mountains and through the desert (I live in AZ,) or out the whole day hunting quail. (bushwhacking, hiking, no trails, etc)

I don't think I'm going to go into "starvation mode" eating 2000+ calories a day, and eating something every 2-3 hours. If I start to plateau, I'll re-evaluate and try eating more, rather than less - eating another 250 cals a day spread over several meals, prob in the form of healthy fats. (a few walnuts at every meal or something like that)

I need to lose another 50 pounds. I am 31 - age is creepin' up on me :) I don't want to be old, sick, and fat. I want to be lean, healthy, and active. I just feel like I need to develop good habits now before it's too late. I don't want to be a heart attack waiting to happen, and I've been slightly overweight my entire adult life... so I know that or a stroke is a risk!

Bravo Chris.

I went with All The Whey protein. I think it's the isolate, banana flavor. It's good enough for consumption.

I got the glutamine that John S. recommends.

And if you're going to take creatine, I think a product called Hydroxycut or Hydrocut had the best flavor.

I haven't hit 201 lbs since monday. I hope I can get back down to weight before this monday's weigh-in. Ugh!

Did 50 minutes of cardio this morning, going to do chest/tris/shoulders later on today . When I was being active with exercising I was down to 191-192, So hopefully I be there by Thursday (1 week). Then hopefully 2lbs of FAT per week after that

Ugh...

Motivation for this thing comes and goes like a wind gust with me. I've had a few unplanned cheat meals this week, and I think that because of that I've been retaining some water. Thus, I haven't seen noticable drops in my weight.

Also, this Saturday and Sunday I slept A LOT. I slept 12 hours Friday night, and then took a 4 hour nap after my cardio on Saturday. I'm wondering if I'm not consuming enough calories (I haven't been keeping track), and my metabolism has been crashing.

When I woke up today (around 1:30 pm), I was somewhat hungry, but I showed 204 lbs on the scale. I think that made me somewhat bitter and caused me to crave a cheat meal. Nevermind that when I measured my abdomen with some measuring tape I learned that I lost a half-inch for the week. So off to McDonalds I went for what turned out to be a dissappointing-in-taste cheat meal.

Oh well. Hopefully it will boost my metabolism for the week. And hopefully I can mitigate some of the damage with some cardio later today.

I'm going out on a limb here to make a guess that my measurements may be an improvement over last week; though I doubt I'll reach my weight goal of 199.5 lbs.

Yeah, me too. I went out a couple times and got the grilled salmon with a 2 sides of veggies instead of potatos and on another day got a chicken salad with dressing on the side. I dip my fork in the dressing just a little bit, take a bite. very yummy.

But I've been sticking to it as well pretty good. It's tough to get the right caloric intake along with protein, fats, carbs. Saturday I was near perfect, but I'm usually under so I think I'm losing some of my hard-earned (relatively) muscle.

Doing my loading phase of creatine for a week (ends Wednesday) and taking 2-3 spoonfuls a day.

Struggling to drink a lot of water. So inconvenent to pee all the time and to drink all the time.

Also taking a spoonfull of glutamine after lifting (which I do 3 times a week) and then before I go to bed.

This morning I was 190 lbs. Plus I heard creatine makes you retain a bit of water, so we'll see.

Morning all,

Another week gone by... 10 to go.

I gained a bit of weight over last week; about half a pound. I am 201.5 as of this morning. I've mostly been hovering around 204-205 most of the week. Holding a lot of water I think.

My measurements didn't seem quite right this morning; but I got my waist measurement right, and I'm down half an inch for the week; a total of 1.5" around the waist so far.

My diet has been about 80% good this week, but the remaining 20% seems to have but a serious stop to my progress. I did exercise everyday. 3 days of lifting and roughly 3,000 cals worth of cardio and about 1,500 - 2,000 cals worth of lifting.

I plan to really lock-down on my diet, and integrate a cheat meal to help me be more diligent during the rest of the week. I've also got DietPower running, and will be tracking my intake/out-take more closely.

I've taken photos, but the difference between today and 2 weeks ago is so subtle that I won't post them for now.

Alright, your turn fellas!

still at 194ish today. but im getting back some of the definition in my abs/arms that I lost over my winter vacation

so Im basically where I was 1.5 months ago before my crazy binge eating. So now is the real weight loss part...hopefully i can keep up with 2lbs (of fat) a week

my lifts were all still good, I was basically lifting what I was before my break, so no loss of strength (that made me pretty happy)

i woke up late so I missed my cardio this morning, but i havnt eating in 3 hours so im going to do some psuedo fasted cardio now :tu:

velocity
January 20th, 2005, 01:06 PM
So apparently I've stopped losing weight. I've been between 202 to 205 for the past week and a half now.

I don't know if I'm retaining water, or if the creatine is causing my muscles to build in volume via water.

I think my measurements are getting smaller, but it's hard to tell because depending on how I hold or pull the tape my measurements can vary by up to an inch.

How fitting is John's update today, though. So I know that even though I may not be losing weight, the actions I have taken recently will lead me to a healthier life. And that is reason enough to continue what I am doing, even if the fat doesn't come off.

Although if I don't drop some weight soon, or notice a bigger difference in my measurements, I'm going to plan 6 meals and eat that every day, to cut out the variability in my diet/caloric intake.

ucbgsr
January 20th, 2005, 02:24 PM
At the one week mark im at 194 still. Havnt lost any more weight in the last 3 days, but thats ok. Ive been lifting pretty hard so I imagine im carrying some extra water in my muscles

I've calculated my BF% to be right around 21% right now. (20 on calipers with EXTRA liberal measurements, 21% on mybodycomp, and 21-22 on the scale)

Im still struggling with taking accurate measurements with the calipers though, i got 14, 16, 17, and 20% on different trials

So that leaves me with 153lbs of LBM and a target weight of 166 pounds for 9% BF

So yeah, about 30 pounds to go assuming I keep all my LBM

Hey ya'll

I haven't lost any weight this week. I'm still at 201.5 lbs; though that's 1.5 lbs less than from the start of this challenge.

My measurements have stayed roughly the same, although I've lost a half-inch off my abdomen for a week; a total of 2" off the abdomen for the whole challenge.

I don't know if my lack of weight loss is due to gains in muscle mass, or from water retention over the weekend after a cheat meal. Creatine may be a part of it; or perhaps I'm getting more calories than I realize.

We're a quarter of the way into this now. I may have to lock-down my diet in a serious way if I'm going to reach my weightloss goal of 18 pounds. That may also mean that I'll have to stop taking creatine so that my mucles can shed their water weight.

I cant wait for the next 10 pounds to come off. Should really start getting some ab definition then and hopefully most of my stomach fat will go. Then the next 10lbs off=6-pack and ripped

I'll be in paris with my girlfriend from thursday-Monday so next week is pretty shot for me. I wont have a gym, but I should be burning some calories with other activities :d_biggrin

Just gotta get back on the horse man. When im about to lose motivation I go to the "perfect body" thread and get it back

Not too much progress for me this week, superbowl sunday and a couple cheat meals have impeded my progress, and I know that Ill be gone for 5 days so yeah, I suppose im just going to get started again after that. :tu:

Diet and excercise program back in full effect now, down to 188

After my trip, I had a project due so that whole week was a wash in terms of diet and lifting

Feels good to get back on the horse, hopefully Ill be down to 180-182ish by the time march 16th hits

Small update

I tipped the scales at 186.2 today, so I did a couple BF% tests

mybodycomp.com-19%
Healthcentral-14%
calipers-16%

so i imagine in in the 16-16.5% range

I think the avg is right around the caliper reading so Ill go with that, and that reading is very consistant with my LBM numbers (right around 155-156pounds)

my gym is closed today for presidents day since we dont have school, so Ill have to do my leg routine tommorrow

I'll post pics again once I hit 180

185.2 today. I must lost some fat while gone in paris with all the walking I did, and its hard to eat unhealthy there. I just pigged out on the plane and stuff so I was probably holding in some water weight

February 24th, 2005, 07:32 PM
Hey thanks for letting me in, but I think ill start a fresh one
This threads pretty long already, and I just got checked yesterday so Ill start fresh.

Im way out of this league anyways I think, my checkup was pretty bad, I thought I was 20-25% BF, Came out at 32% BF, probably need to lose 30-50 plds

Anyways, you've all been at it for 2 solid months, good work, I'll try to keep you posted if your interested

nicework stecman

I had a setback this week, after hitting 185.2 on thursday, I went and had a huge cheat day on friday

donuts, burger, fries, milkshake, huge burrito, and a ton of alcohol and cookies

So yesterday I was back at 189. Back down to 188 today, but yeah, I basically washed away a week of gains. I should be back down to 185 by thursday, but it would have been nicer to be at 183.

So... how many people are still here? Chris is, I am, and ucb is too....

Didn't we start out with like eight people? Chris was my partner -- anyone that still here know what happened to their partner?

Anyways, as we near the end of the challenge, how are we going to decide who wins the challenge? Based on BF% improvement? We could post our before and after pics in the general forum and have people judge?

Or do you guys wanna have a winner at all? -- either way, not a big deal.

ucbgsr
February 28th, 2005, 07:33 AM
Yeah, i never really heard from my partner. The group has shrunk quite a bit, but thats expected with such a large one.

When is the end date? My goal date is mid-may. I will be out of the country again for 2 weeks in march, so that might push it back a bit further as well

velocity
February 28th, 2005, 03:05 PM
207 lbs this morning. Ugh! That's +4 lbs from start of contest. I've fallen off the wagon, and then got run over by it.

I haven't seen my partner in a while.

The official end-date is March 28, IIRC.

As for deciding the winner... perhaps best before/after picture and % BF drop? Some combo/weighted score of those two?

ucbgsr
February 28th, 2005, 10:44 PM

Blast! Not a good week for my program

Megalo binge on friday (im guessing 5000 calories +), missed my cardio sunday, no sleep sunday night, and little sleep the remaining days. I was really good with my diet and cardio/lifting M-thursday, but couldnt get past the 4lb gain over the weekend

184 today :( . I guess im still making good progress. Down 18.6 pounds, 6-7 of that is probably water weight, so roughy 12 pounds of fat loss since Jan-13. If I have lost LBM, its very minimal because all of my lifts are the same if not higher as when I started cutting.

With 2 weeks left in the challenge, hopefully I can kick it down to 180 before the 16th. MInimizing my cheat this friday. It will be hard because Ill be on a 2 day snowboarding trip

nice job stecman. Seems like you and me are the ones keeping with it the most.

down to 183 today. Pics/BF measurements when I hit 180. I should be there right when the challenge ends

Then it will be a new challenge for me, 9%BF :D

velocity
March 7th, 2005, 05:58 PM
I weighed myself at the gym last night.

At the end of January I was 210 lbs clothed on the gym scale. Last night I was 217.

Also, I've put 2" back onto my abdomen.

But I'm slowly making that life style change, and many of my food choices are better than they were in the past.

ucbgsr
March 10th, 2005, 02:11 PM
velocity, im guessing most of that is water weight. Unless you are over-eating by 1000 calories a day, it cant be fat. You just gotta jump on the horse again, get back in the gym, and stick to the diet :tu:

Update for me. With 1 week left before I left (and my end of the challenge), I was at 181.6 today. I should hit 180 easily before the 16th

BF% should be 15% when I hit 180 153/180

Right around 15.5 right now I think

ucbgsr
March 16th, 2005, 02:57 PM
Well, I guess this is my challenge end day since Ill be gone for the next 2 weeks for the official end. I was down to 180.8 today. Total loss for 8.5 weeks was 21.8 Pounds. I lost no strength in any lifting area, and my arms were still near 15" cold flexed. I didnt quite make it to 180, but got very close. BF% measurements in the 14.5-15% range

March 16th, 2005, 03:09 PM
On a side note. I see a lot more definition everywhere (include abs :D ) in the mirror than I do in the pics, but oh well

March 16th, 2005, 11:40 PM
Wow. Nice job you really look good -- you flexing in all those?

You should size them down significantly and post them right next to each other with the first ones. That way we can tell easier your progress.

Ok, looks like this is the end of the challenge.

Here are my pics:

http://www.thesteckers.net/images/jeremy/fitness/march26a.jpghttp://www.thesteckers.net/images/jeremy/fitness/march26b.jpg

And here are some of me flexing at the end:

Well -- I'm about 1/2 way through my cutting phase and I feel great. Doing this has made me feel better about myself, made me more awake and alert all day long, and really gave me something to work hard on.

The details of what I did and how I did it are on my website (the link at the bottom of the page)

And i would love any suggestions (this seems to be working but it would be nice if I could get it to work FASTER/ with more muscle gain!)

I'd like to get down to 9-10% or 160, whichever is less. I figure the next 15 pounds will be tougher.

Or will it? It just seem like the fat that's left is more dense and stubborn, but I'll kick it.

The halfway was refering more to time than pounds.

Nice work thus far :tu:

Yeah, im cold flexed in most of the pictures. I figure I have another 10-15lbs to go as well, and I figure those will be the hardest

After my trip to europe I was up to 189  . I've already dropped 4 pounds of water weight, and hopefully 3-4 more will come off within the next couple of days. Then I'll start my 9% challenge
