Ugggh!!! My last workout was the day before Thanksgiving!!

Not surprisingly my diet went out the wndow as well.

I can tell my pants are getting a litttle tighter again. I trying to get motivated to get back on the program again.

I didnt work out or diet because (insert excuse here). :p

I really enjoy reading the motivational and informative posts here.
JSF rocks!

Gang, any suggestions for a workout to easing back into a routine after several weeks off? Anybody else fall off the wagon?

BTW have a Happy and healthy New Year to everyone!!

Hi there... just want to say that you're not alone. I myself, also fell from the wagon. My workout a mess and not to mention my diet. I've been eating all the crap you can imagine. But anyway, my own personal way of getting back into the wagon is...

1) Pay attention to your diet first. I do this because I need to get rid of the water in the belly forst to be able to see my abs again and give me further motivation. This usually last for 3 days. This period, I seldomly weight train, only cardio 15-20 mins in the morning.

2) After that, pay attention to your wokout. To do this, I train 1 bodypart a day and doesn't last for more than an hour. The reason is to not make me bored...

Well, that's me, and I plan to get back to the wagon tommorow morning, first thing that is... Man, I feel like crap eating those crap. Wish me luck, hope this can help you too...

Yep I'm in the same boat... I've had a 2-week lay-off and starting today.. I'm back on the kick.. today will be diet , tomorrow I will start working out..
I hadn't noticed alot of gain but there is some ..Around 5lbs so I'm lucky considering I ate everything in sight plus the wife filled my Xmas stocking full of goodies.. Big Hersey Chocoalte bars, Licorise(if I could only spell this morning :), Chips, Beef Jerky(1-2lbs)..and more and of course ..beer for New Years.. So I figure some of the weight is water with all the Beer and salt from the chips and stuff,..
So I should take the Only 5lbs gain as a sign.. that I should hit it hard again... and all is not lost..

Dont worry, its not all bad.

I find that a couple of weeks off can really refresh body and mind leaving you ready to get back into it more determined than ever. :tu:

Thanks for the replies. I have finally broken the ice and made it to the gym today 35 min on the elliptical.

Had to go slower and lower level to keep my HR down. whew!

Interestingly enough I lost 2lbs! After six weeks of eating cookies, chocolate and junk. I agree about feeling like crap. I just made a healthy vegeatable chicken for lunch tomorrow. I look forward to getting back in the swing of things.

Thanks for the reply Swole! I'll be contacting you., I am going to get Swole to help me reach my goals. It's my first time trying something like this and I am determined to make it work.

thanks
