You've got the Steam Room and Saunas. What the heck are these for? I think a common perception is that it helps you lose weight, but that doesn't make any sense because you'd just gain it back drinking water.

So, if anyone knows, What good do they do?

Whats the difference?

Oh, and hot tubs -- do they do anything besides help you relax?

Steam rooms are just that - saturated with steam. Saunas are a dry heat. Steam is the way to go, it's much healthier than a sauna. Years ago my old gym had one, and it was great. It helped my asthma a great deal when I first contracted it. It relieves inflammation and upper respiratory congestion, helps relieve throat irritation, stimulates discharges of mucous from the throat and lungs, and above all, relaxes muscles!

Hot tubs are similar, without the confining effects of the steam. And the jets... position the jets on a sore muscle group and you're in heaven. Our hot tub was the best investment my wife and I ever made. They're great for relaxing and they do help with my sore muscles. Be sure you buy a quality unit; not one of these $1,000 "deals" some warehouses claim they have. A good unit will run $2,500 to $5,000 and are worth every penny of it.
