I just had one for my last meal yesterday. DAMN GOOD!
i like them better then the sub sandwiches. Whats up with these wraps? Whats the caloric content for one... generally? I looked around couldnt find anything. I hate going to subway and getting 6 inch subs.... just doesnt do anything for me. I usually feel good with a footlong. So last time i went i was a bit skeptical of getting a wrap because i thought it was going to be as small as 6inch but curiousity about the tasted over powerd me and i asked for a wrap. I saw the guy (sandwhich artist!) bust out with a big ass tortilla (keep in mind to this point i didnt know what they wraped them in) laid that sucker down and went at it. I was like .... hell yeah! Decent size.... left me feeling better (in terms of size) then i feel with a 6 inch and slightly under that of a footlong. Anyways... im not on an atkins diet or anything... just thought id try it out. Turns out i dig um.

So the wraps okay or not? I hope so.

That shows the nutritional info for the wraps.

And dude, I love your sig but it is HUUGE. One thing I love about this board is that everyone doesn't have HUUUGE sigs.

You see posts like this:

You know, they are good, but a few months ago I walked into a Subway and I was really really hungry, and I ordered one. I ate it in like 2 bites and was like "ok, I need about 5 more now". :D

Of course, that was before I started my current fat loss phase. Right about now, one of those is a perfect meal.

I like your sig! I don't see what's so huge about it? It's just a picture, kinda neat. Certainly more interesting than most people's. Am I missing something.

Yeah i think the wraps would be okay except the sodium really bothers me...i am cutting but i also want to look after my heart and lower my BP and trying to keep sodium to minimum.

For something quick i think ill buy a salad without all the junk and dressing and just throw some grilled chicken in.

I notice the thread starter posted in 2004. Back in 2004 Subway had low carb wraps that were delicious. They have since changed to wraps that aren't low carb wraps and they don't taste nearly as good. I have no idea why the low carb wraps tasted better than the ones that aren't low carb, but they did.

Why do you say that? I had a turkey bacon wrap the other day and the macros were similar to the ones listed here. I consider it low carb as it's 20 gms of carbs but 9 gms of fibre for a net carb of 11 gms. That, with 10 gms of fat and ~20 gms of protein makes it a fairly decent meal. I know this was an old thread but the last post made is current and makes it seem like they've completely changed the wrap, which they haven't IMHO.

They have, at least in my area. The worker at Subway is the one who told me they're no longer low carb. Are you getting your nutritional info from Subway's website? Are you sure the webite is up to date? They look completely different now. They used to have a brownish texture and were very soft and chewy, now they're completely white and a little harder. What color was the wrap you ate? It's possible that some restaurants still use the low carb wraps.

Actually it is a white wrap. Maybe it's different from before. What's the thought on them now. Good? Bad? Unwholesome? They dont' seem to still have good macros. I guess I had old information.

I did a google search and found a couple of articles:

http://www.commonvoice.com/article.asp?colid=6854

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art31233.asp

Apparently, the new wraps have 33 grams of carbs. Not that much better than white bread. I guess they got rid of the low carb wraps because they were too expensive. Here's the nutrional information from Subway's website:

http://www.subway.com/applications/NutritionInfo/nutritionlist.aspx?id=carb

They don't seem to list the turkey breast and bacon wrap, though.

Your right. I used turkey and ham. I'll definitely remove this item from my diet. Except as a protein/carb meal.
