First of all, I want to appologize if the following thread is quite vulgar. I have no purpose of offending or sending a bad thread, I'm just really curious and want some scientific explanation... :d_wink:

I've read and heard that saturated fats has some important benefits if consumed in a proper amount. Now, the topic that caught my interest is that it also says that a man's erection (testosterone level I prefer) can be affected negatively if one's diet is too low on fats (saturated fats, in particular). Well, at first I don't really believe this, but I was shocked when to realize in my own personal experience where there are times I feel my "testosterone level" is down (if you know what I mean... :d_biggrin ).

This usually happens to me when I'm cutting and don't realize I'm on starvation mode, I'm eating too little for too long and sometimes this happens when my calorie intake is normal but I restricted my fat intake (saturated, that is). Question is, does saturated fat or any fat can affect the testosterone level directly, or it's just because I was on starvation mode?

In my personal experience, when I'm on starvation mode, my natural reaction was to binge, and believe it or not, after binging, aside from bloated, my "testosterone" seems to go up... Weird huh?

Hi!

Not weird at all. Fat has alot of life essential functionality. Everything from impact on testosterone levels, protecting organs, uptake and production of vitamins and so on. You need the fat. I don't like all the negative comments about fat. It's not the fat in it self that is dangerous but the overconsuming and lack of excersize level today.

regards
Ludvig.
