Well I have posted here before but never in this aspect. I have decided to share my journey to reduce my body fat and get back in shape both physically and mentally. Over the past few month's (despite my somewhat success in weight loss I've went from 220-200ish lbs and lost about 4 percent body fat) I have seen a definite turn for worse in my life. Starting with my wife leaving me while I was underway (I'm in the navy) and then further evolving into a drinking frenzy when I got divorce papers sent to me on Thanksgiving week. For the past two months besides for workouts I have been just sitting around completly wasted mentally.

Anyways, back to the point of this journal which is my life change plan. Well I've done tons of research and I finally have a good idea on how I am going to start my plan tommorow. First off I went and bought a camera so that I could record my pictures everyday for progress and pending a scanner I'll start putting them up here. I have multiple goals for life and this goal is a big part of my other goals.
My goals so far as they stand are.

Phil,
I think you could teach me about writing out goals...that is pretty awesome. If you get the clean eating thing figured out, let me know. That is the most difficult part for me...I guess it is the discipline that it takes. The workout isn't difficult for me, it's those urges to stick things in my mouth that will keep me from ever seeing my ab muscles. But I'll keep after it just like you. :gl:

Well todays workout was
200M warmup
500m sidestroke
3x100M sprints
200M cooldown.

I love swiming but I'm looking foward to tommorows 3 mile run. So far the diet's on track I threw away most of the crap from New Years. It's looking like I'll be making my goals on Janurary after all.

Today was a 3 mile run (1.5 mile sprint=11:42/1.5 mile jog 12:56)
I attribute the slow times to the fact that their was a 8% grade hill in the middle of my run but who knows.
