Curious if anyone is trying Paul Cribb's article on creatine cycling. You take 4-5 five mg doses (depending on bodyweight) for three days, then take three days off, then three days on, three days off. (http://www.ast-ss.com/articles/article.asp?AID=243). Do a search over on AST's website under Paul Cribb and let me know what you think about the idea. I am giving it a try right now and will document my progress in my journal.

That is so stupid. (no offense to the author, I am just telling you not to try it). Honestly the 15 mgs of creatine will be washed otu of your body the day you aren't on it and eventually your "creatine receptors" get worn down to accept only ~8 grams of creatine per day, so the rest of that would be wasted. I love creatine, it's my favorite supplement BY FAR. Load it and then just go on 5 mg/day. Love creatine. I am also starting a creatine/no2/glutamine stack and will post up results after 12 weeks. I am hoping to add weight to my bench. Before the summer I was so strong and awesome but in 2 1/2 months I lost all my muscle I had built up over 4 months. It was fun but being a camp counselor had it's drawbacks.

Hrm, strange. I don't agree with that either but have a lot of respect for Paul and AST. I'll have to look into this more. Thanks for the link.

I've seen similar results whether loading or not. So coming for a "not loading" stand point...I can't see any reason why his suggestion wouldn't work. But then I believe in not running a loading phase, and only using 5 grams on non-training days, and 10 grams on training days. The majority of people who like to believe that more is better will probably say that Paul's idea is crap. I mean he's only the guy that's trying to get you to buy AST's product...so of course using less would make no sense at all...

I'm not agreeable with the article nor would I be willing to try that method. It makes no sense to me and they don't substantiate any of the claims in the article.

I've never used a loading phase - just 5-mg's per day, every day I'm on it. The only change I've made in creatine use was to go from 3 months on/1 month off to 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Until the shoulder impingement shut down my lifting, this was very effective for me as opposed to the longer cycle I used to use.
