Hi there, it's me again... :D lately I've been asking a lot of questions, so please forgive my curiousity... ;)

Most of you guys here say that the best move to do is I should gain size and weight. I definitely understand that since I'm 6'1'' and only weight 141 lbs, last time I checked... I'm surprised though, because I never expected my weight to drop below 145... :d_eek:

But my biggest concern so far is that once I manage to bulk, I can't regain my lean look, which I 100% prefer rather than my old fat look. Anyway, I also have a dietery habit (check my thread on "Cheat meal a day) which I'm afraid will hinder my cutting progress in the future. :( I believe in the saying, "You are what you eat", so if during bulking I eat 5 clean meals and 1 cheat meal, will it be bad for me? :d_smile:

I'm also planning to do a weekly calorie cycle. A low calorie week would be around 1500-1800 kcal daily and the high calorie week would be around 2000-2500 kcal daily. Can this work? Well the reason I prefer this, is I want to build muscle, but I don't want to get "flabby". Also, even though my metabolism is fast, why can't I lose the last fat in the lower abs?

Oh, and one more thing... it's kinda hard to get a high quality protein here, and it's kinda expensive too.
So for maintaning, 1 usually consume around 200-300 g of carb, 75-100 g of protein and 30-40 g of fats.
For cutting, 150-200 g of carbs, 100-140 g of protein and 20-30 g of fats. :eat:

For bulking... Can anyone give me some tips here on the breakdown... My bulking last month was actually, "Eat everything you like 'till your stuffed". The result? Well... bloated everywhere, but surprisingly my weight drop instead of increase from 147 (3 months ago) to 141 (yesterday I checked). I did cut my calories intake since December 21 so I don't look bloated now.

I don't see how you expect to build muscle on that minisucle amount of food, and I'm referring to the 2500 calorie week, 1500 is unfathomable. Don't want to get flabby?? Don't eat junk food and make certain you don't combine carbs and fats, and keep doing moderate cardio.

The reason you can't lose the last bit of fat in your abs is because you've been eating 1500-1800 kcals a day and you've taken your once fast metabolism and ground it down to a screeching halt. That and you lack substantial muscle mass to sustain a deep cut.

IMO your fears about bulking are unfounded, even if you do put on some fat, you know everything you need to know to cut again.

So you're saying that consuming 1500-1800 kcal daily for is too little for my body type? So how much calories daily would you suggest so that I can switch the gear on my metabolism?

I also notice that I can only get 2000 "clean calories" a day by eating 250-300 g of carbs, 100-150 g of protein and 30-40 g of fats. (50/30/20) Will that do? :d_smile:

If you are 6'1" and lean at 141, I doubt getting flabby will be an issue. You sound like a pretty serious hard-gainer.

I'm not 100% lean, like I said in the thread, even though I have a fast metabolism, I still have the last bit of fat that still didn't go.
So, I might be quite a hard-gainer now, but eating junk foods like I did before sure made me large (and not in a good way). I've only been lean now and I like it, but I still want to see my abs completely.

Anyway, I'll bump up my calorie intake and stop my cutting phase now, because I think I've lost all the fat (or water I guess) I've gained during last month of binging and eating everything in my site... :p ( it's not a good thing to do... make you wanna puke...)

So like I said, I'll consume at least 2000 kcal daily, 50-30-20... Wish me luck... :gl:

I agree on this one. I would probably go more towards about 2800-3500. You need to gain some weight. 141 is 60 less then me and I am not fat in any sort of way and just about 6'0 in height.

Ok... thanks for the advice. I'll try to consume around 2500 kcal daily from now on. Would you mind, if I asked you, if 50% (around 300 grams) of those calories come from carb, and only 100 grams of protein, and as for fat, I personally prefer to go below 40 g daily... Is that fine?
