Hey everyone this is my first post so please be kind, ;)
I finally decided to get into shape. :claphigh: I was thinking about getting a crossbow ultimate and was getting a lot of people saying that real weight is better than resistance training for growing muscle someone even posted a link to a machine that would be better to get than a bow flex. http://www.epinions.com/Powertec_Leverage_System_Home_Gym_Exercise_Equipme nt
It seemed like a good machine and got excellent reviews. I was wondering if anyone here has one and if they could tell me if they like it or not. I was thinking on getting a rack but went with this instead. It should be here I a few days and I hope to put it to good use. Wish me luck :gl: Brian

I am sure you made a great choice with the Powertec Leverage Gym. I went with the Multi-Leverage system, and its a fantastic machine. Check out the pics I posted in the photo gallery. :tu:

Hey I got the Powertec a couple of days a go and it is everything that I expected and more. It came in 3 boxes and weighed 342 lbs. it took me 5 hours to put it together by myself. The instructions were pretty clear for the most part. It was missing 2 washers but I had them so no big deal. This thing is a monster. It is ultra cool looking and sturdy as hell. It is a serious piece of equipment. It has a lifetime warranty for home use and I can see why. No one will ever be able to ware this thing out ever. The bolts that hold the thing together are about 3/4 inch thick. It came with a poster with 10 exercises on it and has a list of 10 more to do also. I read on one website that there are over 100 that you can do on it but I haven’t found that site yet. I bet you could though. The only thing is I wish it had more information to go with it. It came with a website and I haven’t been there yet. It is www.powertecfitness.com I will check it out tonight. I got 300 lbs of weight last night and worked out a few min. ago. I am pumped. It was ultra smooth. I like the machine and think it is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone. But you better have room for it is BIG it takes up a 5' X 11' space to do all the exercises with the bench out straight when you swing the bench to the side to do squats it takes up a 6' x 8' space. And remember you still have to walk around it to put your plates on it. So if you got the room, the money, and want something that will last you a lifetime go for it.

I just watched demonstration videos for the Workbench Leverage Gym (http://www.powertecfitness.com/workbench_lev_gym.htm) and the Workbench Multi Press (http://www.powertecfitness.com/multi_press.htm) on the Powertec website.

For those of you familiar with either of these, I'd like some feedback. From watching the videos, it doesn't seem that you can perform a very deep press because it doesn't go down low enough toward your chest. Are there settings that allow you to adjust the machine so you can bring the weight lower for a deeper press?

Great choice on the WB-LS :tucool: I actually owe some answers to PM's from the last week or so on this. I've had mine for about two years or so now, and there really isn't a whole lot that you can't do. Actually I believe that it's got more versatility than the WB-MS in a much smaller footprint. (yes, you can do exercises on the LS that can't be done on the MS) If you get tight on space, I've found that it fits, and works nicely placed in the corner of a room.

yes powertec is better than a normal multi gym however bear in mind its leveraging your the weight you lift. personally i always thought leverage was for weight lifters.
