View Full Version : Special K Red Berries
Super Fink Thu, February 12th, 2004, 10:11 PM Hey everyone,
I have been eating 2 cups of this (with 1/2 cup skim milk) daily as an afternoon snack - it equals 220 calories, 0g of fat, 50 carbs and 6g protein - is there anything wrong with this cereal? I was eating Kashii good friends or the cinimon one for awhile but they are nothing in comparison to special k (for me!)
Thanks.

Shane Thu, February 12th, 2004, 11:22 PM While Kashi is almost certainly healthier I don't know that I would completely poo-poo your Special K. It's not going to kill you and if you like it, eat it. There comes a point where you go beyond being healthy and enter the realm of the freakishly insane. Sure, you want to be healthy and maybe drop a few pounds, but not at the expense of enjoying life.
Razor Fri, February 13th, 2004, 08:34 AM I would eat Kashi before Special K. There are worse cereals out there, though.

I started out with this cereal, since it's DELICIOUS in skim milk. However, I've recently found a supplier for KASHI cereal here in Ottawa, Canada! Bless you, Bulk Barn! I have no problem saying goodbye to Kellog's Special K w/berries, and saying goodbye to the sugar.
It's definitely better than Count Chocula, but it's a matter of taste and desire for results. I'm the kind of guy that believes that the little things count, and I'm willing to give up the better taste over the long run.
Ken (who's finding that diet doesn't come easy without constant education!)
Super Fink Fri, February 13th, 2004, 01:41 PM Thanks everyone!
I meant I like Kashi - but I LOVE the special K - I guess I will just use it up until I run out and then stick with the kashi - its still good....damn sugar!
Thanks again!
