Hi,

I have a question. I did a 3 month cut and at the end I decided to just have a blowout week and eat whatever, low water intake, etc. Basically I was my old self for a week, I actually got sick of it by day 3. Anyway, I'm starting a second cut phase today and I jumped on the scale this morning and I see I've gained 6 pounds
:d_eek: :d_eek:

Did I really do that much damage in one week?

Thanks,
Paul

It's more than likely to be mainly water retention. Drink plently of water and in a few days your weight should have come back down.

It's probably 90% water, I'm in the middle of a cut now and a couple weeks ago went out with some friends than I haven't seen in a while, drank A LOT!! ate chips dip, etc. When I got home the next day I checked the scale and was 5 lbs heavier. 2 days later, I was back to normal.

My advice --- drink LOTS of water, even try to force yourself to drink more than you normally do.

Binge eating adds water weight. The water bonds to the glycogen in your muscles, and the extra sodium pulls it in, too. Drink water and eat clean, and most of that six pounds will be gone in a few days.
