I didn't know where to post this. See, when i first started cutting, i had no visible veins in my hands or arms like most skinny/muscular people do, i always wanted to have alot, now i have alot, and seem to get more everyday, my question is, am i seeing more of my veins pop out because of my lower bf % or is it because i'm gaining muscle? i can't really tell, my weight has stayed the same, and i sort of lost my diet for a little while, though i havn't had any noticible fat gain, i'm worried that while i'm cutting that since it's the holidays and i'm eating a bunch, that my body will go into a bulking mode, so my main question is

Are the 3D veins from low BF or higher LBM? I'm hoping it's from a lower BF because that's my goal.

THanks for your responses.

Low BF% mostly. You may also become more vascular as you workout and your systems in general grow and improve.

think veins are meant to be a combination of genetics/low bf/lots of muscle

low BF%=higher LBM at the same weight

My doctor told me I was "a vampire's dream" when he took blood a couple of weeks ago. I had to laugh a little, because the nurses always complained about what a hard time they had taking blood from me when I was pregnant. I was about 60 pounds heavier than I am now. They failed to mention that all that extra fat could be why it was so difficult to reach my veins.

Exercise in general seems to increase the visibility of veins, due to the increased blood flow. If anybody here has gone a week without working out, they'll probably have noticed their vascularity decreases, and once you've worked out again, it returns. It is likely to be a combination of all three: lower body fat, higher LBM, and better blood flow.

I would say that the increased vascularity while exercising as opposed to taking a week off has to do with the muscles being tighter rather than the blood flow.

I wish i had more vascularity. My friend has it sick all over his arms, it's crazy. I used to know this kid who had them all over his legs too.

I'd say it was due to both, based on my own observation.

Read the part with the heading "Effects of training".

Exercising reduces the blood pressure during the exercise period, which contradicts your thesis. If anything, you should experience an increase in blood pressure after resting a week, thus more vascularity. I believe that you interpret the muscles getting softer (not pushing the veins out as much) as the blood flow decreasing, which is not correct.
